Buy and sell ammunition and reloading
On Gunfinder, you can list and buy ammunition as well as components for reloading. Special rules apply — here you'll find out what to watch out for as a seller and as a buyer.
Selling Ammunition
You may only transfer ammunition to authorized buyers. Therefore — as with selling firearms — check the buyer's authorization before handing over the goods. Depending on the case, authorization to purchase ammunition may be established by, for example, a Waffenbesitzkarte with a matching caliber entry, a valid Jagdschein, or a Munitionserwerbsschein. Read here about who is allowed to purchase what.
State the caliber and load specification precisely in your listing — this makes it easier for interested buyers to find your offer and helps avoid misunderstandings.
Reloading: Listing Components
Reloading components include bullets, cases, and primers. Important: Propellant powder is subject to explosives law — purchasing, possessing, and transferring it requires authorization. Only list such components if you are familiar with the legal requirements, and only supply them to authorized individuals. If in doubt, check with your relevant authority in advance.
Shipping Ammunition
Ammunition and firearms must never be shipped in the same package. Whether and how you may ship ammunition depends on the respective logistics provider — check their terms and conditions in advance. More on this in our guide to shipping firearms.
As a Buyer
Have your proof of authorization ready and send it to the seller upon request — completely and legibly. This keeps the transaction smooth for both parties.
