On Gunfinder you sell firearms, ammunition and gear – free and without sales fees. You have two options: You list yourself and negotiate with buyers, or you sell your firearm quickly and hassle-free through our purchase service.
What you can sell on Gunfinder
Gunfinder is the marketplace for hunting, sport shooting, and outdoor. You can offer, for example:
- licensed firearms (handguns and long guns)
- unrestricted firearms like air guns and blank-firing guns, as long as they can be acquired without a license in your country
- decorative guns
- essential firearm parts
- ammunition and reloading components
- scopes, accessories, knives, clothing, and gear for the hunting area and outdoors
Important for essential firearm parts: They are legally equivalent to firearms. The same obligations apply when selling as for a complete firearm – especially checking the eligibility to acquire.

What does selling cost?
For private sellers, listing on Gunfinder is free – there are no selling fees. The number of your listings is unlimited.
Your Duties as a Seller
As a seller, you are required to verify the buyer’s acquisition eligibility before transferring a restricted firearm or a significant firearm part. Here you can find out who is allowed to buy which firearm. You may only transfer non-restricted firearms to buyers who are of legal age.
Payment and Shipping
Gunfinder is a marketplace and is not involved in the purchase between you and the buyer. You arrange payment and shipping directly with each other – similar to classifieds. We recommend cash on pickup or the classic bank transfer. PayPal is excluded because its terms prohibit the trade of firearms and ammunition. The buyer doesn’t respond or pay – what to do?
Buyers and sellers sometimes take their time to reply. But if you don’t hear back for several days, you can report the buyer to us – we’ll then notify them about your message. As long as no purchase contract has been made, you can sell the item to another interested party at any time.
If the item has already been shipped and the buyer doesn’t pay, give them some time first – payment processing and shipping can sometimes take a few days. If the issue isn’t resolved, proceed as follows:
- Set a final deadline for payment or return for the buyer.
- Report the buyer to us so we can check them.
- If necessary, file a police report and provide all exchanged data (report number, bank details, phone number, message history).
My listing does not appear in the search
If you don’t find your listing in the search results, it’s usually due to an imprecise description. Check the spelling and choose a clear title with manufacturer, model, and caliber. You can find tips for a well-findable listing here.
