How can I sell on Gunfinder?

On Gunfinder, you can easily sell firearms and ammunition. Simply click the "Sell now" button in the top bar and you can post your listing right away. As soon as someone is interested in your listing, you'll receive a purchase request in your account as well as an email to the address you provided. Note: As a seller, you are required to verify the purchase eligibility of buyers!

Want to create a listing? Here you'll find some valuable tips.

Selling freely available firearms

On Gunfinder, you can sell freely available firearms in addition to regulated ones. Freely available firearms include, among others, air rifles and air pistols marked with the "F in a pentagon" symbol, blank-firing guns, and much more (link if applicable).

For freely available firearms, it's important to verify that the buyer is of legal age!

Selling knives, equipment, and clothing

On Gunfinder, all kinds of equipment in the areas of hunting, sport shooting, and outdoor activities can be listed — including knives, ammunition, and tools for game management needs.

What fees are charged for a sale?

There are no fees for selling on Gunfinder.

Can I list deactivated display firearms on Gunfinder?

Yes, in addition to firearms requiring an acquisition permit and freely available firearms, deactivated display firearms can also be listed on Gunfinder.

Can I list firearm parts on Gunfinder?

Yes, in addition to complete firearms, individual firearm parts can also be listed. Sellers should check whether the parts in question are essential firearm components!

Essential parts of firearms are legally equivalent to the firearms themselves. This means, for example, that no such part may be acquired without a valid acquisition permit. If you are eligible to acquire firearms and come into possession of an essential part, this must be recorded in the Waffenbesitzkarte.

Anyone listing essential firearm parts must follow the same process as when selling complete firearms. This includes, among other things, verifying the buyer's acquisition eligibility.

Item was sold, but the buyer isn't responding / isn't paying. What should I do?

Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for buyers and sellers to take their time responding to inquiries. However, if no reply has been received and no payment has arrived after a few days, you can report the buyer to us — we'll send them a message letting them know they have a message waiting. As long as no purchase contract has been signed, you're also free to sell the item to another interested party.

Item has already been shipped, but the buyer isn't responding / isn't paying. What should I do?

Here too, it may unfortunately take a few days for the buyer to respond. We'd ask for your patience in this situation as well. Please keep in mind that payment processing and shipping can each take several days. Please give the seller some time to drop off the item at the post office — especially with firearms, many private sellers have little experience and are being extra cautious.

If, however, you've been waiting an unreasonably long time for a response and haven't received any clarification, proceed as follows:

  1. Set the seller a final deadline to either send the item or refund your money.

  2. Report the buyer to us so we can look into the matter.

  3. File a police report, providing all exchanged details such as the listing number, the seller's bank details, phone number, and message history.

How many different items can I list?

The number of listings you can post on Gunfinder is unlimited.

What payment methods can I offer?

Unfortunately, we are not yet able to integrate a payment method into Gunfinder. It is therefore up to the seller and buyer to agree on a payment method. We recommend cash on collection or a standard bank transfer. PayPal's terms of service exclude the trade of firearms and ammunition.

I can't find my listing in the Gunfinder search results

If you can't find your listing in the search results, it may be because it isn't clearly labeled. Check the exact wording and write a descriptive, meaningful item title.
