Buy It Now for Private Sellers: Sell Quickly and Easily

Want to sell your firearm or gear directly — no haggling or auction suspense? Then activate the "Buy It Now" feature on your listing. This gives buyers the option to purchase immediately and with commitment. Here's how it works for you as a private seller.

"Buy It Now" means: the buyer can purchase your item with a single click — no waiting for an auction to end or back-and-forth on classifieds.

A Buy It Now purchase is binding for the buyer. However, the seller must still actively confirm the sale in the system. Only once this confirmation is given is the purchase agreement formally completed through our platform. This process is intentionally designed to avoid conflicts — for example, in cases where a seller is already in the middle of another sale but the listing hasn't technically been confirmed as closed or removed yet.

In practice, this means a listing may briefly remain visible even though the seller is already processing another sale. For this reason, we give the seller the opportunity to confirm or decline the purchase in the system before the listing is finalized.

You can use "Buy It Now" for:

• Auctions: Set a Buy It Now price in addition to the starting price.

• Classifieds: Enter a fixed price and activate the "Buy It Now" option.

You'll find this setting directly when creating your listing.

1. The buyer clicks "Buy It Now" and enters their shipping address.

2. Gunfinder automatically creates a chat between you and the buyer.

3. In the chat, you sort out everything else:

   • You share your bank details (IBAN) with the buyer,

   • you discuss shipping if needed,

   • you request the necessary proof of eligibility to purchase if required.

As a private seller, you are not required and not able to issue an invoice through Gunfinder. This feature is only available to commercial dealers. For buyers, this is usually not an issue — it's standard practice for private sales.

• Sort out everything important directly in the chat — the faster you respond, the better.

• Ask for any required documents (e.g. proof of eligibility) in full and legible form.

• Only ship after payment has been received — for the safety of both parties.
