Create listing

A good listing is created in just a few minutes – and decides how fast and at what price you sell. Here’s how to do it.

How to create a listing

1. Click Sell now at the top.
2. Choose the right category – the more precise, the easier it is for buyers to find your listing.
3. Enter a clear title, condition, price, postal code, and – for firearms and ammunition – the caliber.
4. Upload several good photos (up to 10). Find tips for good product photos here.
5. Publish your listing.

Choose the right title

Many high-quality firearms are offered online – often they are hard to find because the title is too vague. “Grandpa’s old rifle” is not very clear for buyers and search engines. Instead, write the title like this:

1. Manufacturer
2. Model
3. Caliber (in parentheses)
4. if available: the scope

Set the price

The minimum price on Gunfinder is 0.01 Euro. Use the market value as a guide by looking at comparable listings in the search results. Not sure what your firearm is worth? Here’s how to determine the value of your firearm.

What makes a good listing

Show the condition honestly and completely. Knowledgeable buyers pay special attention to the wear parts as well as the bore, chamber, and muzzle – these should be clearly visible in the photos. More meaningful than the number of shots fired is the condition: a well-maintained bluing and sharp lands and grooves in the barrel speak for themselves. If the firearm shoots particularly accurately, include a target picture and mention it in the text.

Edit or delete listing

You can change or delete your listing at any time. To do this, click the user icon at the top right and open My listings. There you can find, edit, and delete your listings.

How long does my listing run?

Listings automatically expire after four weeks to ensure that sold items don’t stay online. Before expiration, we’ll send you an email allowing you to extend your listing with one click.

Which listings are prohibited?

Not allowed are items that violate laws or good morals, in particular:

• Firearms, firearm parts and ammunition that are prohibited under the firearms laws of your country or that you are not allowed to sell there
• Extremist propaganda and prohibited symbols
• Items that infringe copyright, personality or trademark rights
• Explosive substances, propellant powder, hazardous chemicals as well as poisonous and radioactive materials
• Pornographic and youth-endangering items

Gunfinder may remove listings that violate the Terms of Service or applicable law.
