Based in the small Basque town of Bergara, the eponymous rifle manufacturer is synonymous with affordable and precise weapons.
According to the company, its history began with technical know-how when they started with a small line of specialty rifles and a top-notch craftsman, the former production chief and chief instructor of the U.S. Marine Corps Precision Weapons Division. As Bergara grew rapidly, they assembled a hand-picked group of its finest PWS alumni who built the rifles used by U.S. Marines in both combat and competition around the world.
Today, these Marines still form the core of the Bergara production team.
An outstanding Bergara model is the Bergara Scout, a rugged and extremely short break-barrel rifle (88 cm overall length) which weighs only 2.7 kg total and is ideal for stalking.
