The gun manufacturer of the same name, based in the Basque small town of Bergara, stands for affordable and precise weapons.

The company's history begins, according to company information, with technical know-how when they started with a small range of specialty rifles and a top-notch craftsman, the former production manager and chief instructor of the precision weapons department of the US Marine Corps. As Bergara quickly grew, they gathered a handpicked group of its best PWS alumni who built the rifles used by US Marines in both combat and competition around the world.

Even today, these Marines form the core of the Bergara production team.
