Give and receive reviews

Updated on July 20, 2026

Reviews help the community identify trustworthy trading partners. After a deal, you can rate the other person – and by acting fairly, you'll build up good reviews yourself.

Why reviews matter

A solid review history builds trust: users with positive reviews come across as more credible, and their listings are more likely to get noticed. Just like identity verification, an honest review culture helps make trading among like-minded people safer.

How to review someone

Once a deal is done, you can rate your trading partner. Keep it objective and fair: focus on communication, how the transaction went, and the condition of the item. Reviews appear on the user's profile and are visible to others.

Getting good reviews yourself

  • Reply promptly and friendly via the Gunfinder chat.
  • Describe your items honestly and in full – including any signs of wear.
  • Stick to agreements on payment and shipping.

For serious issues: don't just leave a bad review – report it

If a user is genuinely problematic or you suspect fraud, don't stop at leaving a bad review – flag the profile to us so we can look into it. You can find out how to report users and listings under Safe trading on Gunfinder.
