How do I create a user account?
The Gunfinder profile is free and can be used for a variety of features — for example, to communicate with sellers on Gunfinder and safely buy or sell products. You can create your profile easily by clicking the user icon in the top right corner of the homepage. The icon is in the very top right corner of our website. A dropdown menu will appear with the option "Register" at the bottom. Click on it, enter your details, and we'll send you an email where you can confirm your registration.
What features does a user account have?
Once you've created a Gunfinder account, you can use a range of features. You can post your own listings and offer products to other users on Gunfinder. If you want to sell your items right away, you can also offer them to us directly as an instant sale — we'll make you an offer, and if you accept, we'll arrange a pickup at a time of your choosing. Other features include messaging other users, saving searches, and saved searches — in short: your user profile offers a wide range of features that make it easier to safely find firearms and ammunition.
How do I change my account details?
On every Gunfinder page, you'll find the user icon in the top right corner. If you're not yet registered or logged in, you can do so by clicking on it and following the instructions.
If you're already logged in, clicking the icon will also show the menu item "My Profile". Clicking on it gives you various options, such as changing your password, username, or email address, or managing your listings.
How do I verify my identity?
Click the user icon in the top right corner. Click on "My Profile" to access the management of your account details, listings, and watchlist. There you'll also find the option to verify your identity. The identity verification process is described and guided in detail there. Please have a valid ID document ready for the identity verification.
Can I rate other users on Gunfinder?
We've integrated the ability to rate other users on Gunfinder. However, if a user behaves inappropriately, please don't just leave a negative rating — we ask you to report that profile to us!
If you see a listing that isn't legally compliant — for example, because the firearm is incorrectly listed as exempt from the firearms acquisition permit or violates the Waffengesetz — please bring it to our attention. At the bottom of every listing page, you'll find a button labeled "Report listing". In the report form you'll be directed to, you can briefly explain why you find the listing suspicious.
Thank you for helping make Gunfinder the safest platform for hunters and sport shooters! :)

At Gunfinder.de, we place great importance on the continuous improvement and security of our online platform.
Despite our efforts, scammers attempt to obtain our users' personal data through phishing messages on our website. We strongly urge you to be especially careful, and ask that you always use the Gunfinder chat (our messaging feature) for communication and exchanges.
Be especially vigilant if you're asked to share personal information or make payments. Scammers aim to get you to follow a phishing link, enter your login credentials or other personal information, or reveal your email address. Your security matters to us, so we ask you to report any such suspicious activity directly to our support team.
What are phishing emails?
Phishing is an attempt by a third party to obtain an internet user's data through fake emails or websites.
The third party pretends to be a trustworthy person or impersonates the identity of another person or company — in this case, pretending to be a Gunfinder admin.
Their primary targets are usernames, email addresses, passwords, and payment details.
You can find more important information in the article Safety on Gunfinder.
