SRS Rifles
Blank-firing, irritant, and signal weapons are unrestricted firearms, available without a purchase license to anyone aged 18 and over. Unrestricted weapons are marked with a test seal from the Physikalisch-Technische Prüfanstalt ("PTB" in a circle).
SRS weapons fire blank cartridges — unlike conventional firearms, no projectiles are discharged. The barrels of SRS weapons are fitted with obstructions to prevent any projectile from being fired. Nevertheless, these weapons pose a serious danger at close range that should not be underestimated! The pressure generated when firing a 9 mm P.A. blank exceeds 400 bar, which is more than enough to cause fatal injuries.
To prevent SRS weapons from being illegally converted into "live" firearms, intentional weak points are built into the weapon.
To fire pyrotechnic ammunition, a launch cup is screwed onto the muzzle of a blank-firing pistol.

The most important manufacturers of blank-firing weapons are Umarex, Röhm, Zoraki, and Weihrauch.
Due to fewer restrictions compared to licensed firearms, SRS weapons are available from numerous online shops — however, the largest selection can be found at eGun and VDB.
