Loan Certificate for Borrowing Firearms

Anyone wishing to borrow a licensed firearm or ammunition must first have proof of acquisition eligibility, such as a Jagdschein and WBK. When temporarily transferring a firearm under § 38 para. 1 no. 1e WaffG, you must carry not only your proof of eligibility but also your ID and a loan certificate stating the lender, borrower, and date. Please note: A loan certificate is valid for a maximum of one month; the date of issue is noted on the document.

Listing for the Acquisition of Firearms

Buyers of licensed firearms must report the acquisition in writing to their responsible Waffenbehörde within 14 days. In addition to the purchase agreement, the form "listing for the acquisition of firearms" must be submitted.
