Anyone wishing to borrow a firearm or ammunition requiring a permit must first hold an acquisition authorization, such as a Jagdschein and a WBK.

When borrowing — i.e., the temporary transfer of a permit-required firearm and/or ammunition pursuant to § 38 Para. 1 No. 1 e (WaffG) — in addition to this acquisition authorization, you must also carry your ID and a loan certificate stating the name of the lender, the borrower authorized for temporary possession, and the date. Attention! The validity of a loan certificate is limited to one month. The date of issue is noted on the loan certificate.

PRINT/SAVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Buyers of permit-required firearms must report them in writing to their responsible Waffenbehörde. The reporting deadline is fourteen days. In addition to the purchase agreement, the form Notification of Firearm Acquisition must be submitted. Here you'll find a suitable template for the form.

Anyone permanently transferring a permit-required firearm to another person must have the firearm removed from their Waffenbesitzkarte. To do this, the transfer must be reported in writing. Here you'll find a template for the transfer notification.
