Sell Gun - Create Listing

Updated on July 14, 2026

Here you'll find some useful tips if you want to sell your firearm.

The listing should include several photos that clearly show the condition of the firearm. Knowledgeable buyers pay close attention to the condition of wear parts and especially the bore, chamber, and muzzle. These should therefore be clearly visible in the photos.

Many sellers highlight the low number of rounds fired — however, this information alone is not the deciding factor. For the condition of these parts, it's less about the number of shots and more about how well the firearm has been maintained. A key indicator of good maintenance and overall condition is the state of the bluing.

The bore should also still show sharp rifling and lands. Buyers interested in used firearms often compare these with the rifling and lands of a new firearm.

To improve visibility in online searches, it's recommended to keep the listing as clear and well-organized as possible, and to use the correct terminology — for example, the correct caliber designation.

If the firearm shoots particularly accurately, it's worth adding a target shot group to the listing. Many rifles, even older ones, are very well broken in and pair nicely with specific ammunition. This should definitely be mentioned in the listing.
