The Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 2 in caliber .303 British is the last variant of the legendary British service rifle manufactured in the United Kingdom. It was introduced after World War II and is considered by historians and sports shooters to be the absolute pinnacle in the evolution of Lee-Enfield bolt-action rifles. The rifle was built in 1954 at the state-owned British armory ROF Fazakerley in Liverpool.
The crucial improvement: The No. 4 Mk 2 was officially introduced in July 1949. The most important technical change was the relocation of the trigger pivot point directly to the metal receiver. This made the trigger consistently precise, independent of wood influences.
This rifle is a classic representative of the famous “Irish Contract.” The weapon was part of the official supply contract for around 50,000 rifles for the Republic of Ireland. Since the number falls exactly within the specified Irish numbering range, this rifle was produced for the Irish military. The weapon with this serial number is located quite precisely in the middle of the second half of this delivery and is very likely unused, and it probably still has a nearly factory-new barrel with sharp grooves and lands, as well as excellent mechanical precision.
It comes from an inherited collection that I am gradually dissolving after careful consideration. It is not easy to part with these pieces, but they should end up in the hands of individuals who appreciate their quality and history.

Sie wurde nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eingeführt und gilt unter Historikern und Sportschützen als der absolute Höhepunkt in der Evolution der Lee-Enfield-Repetierbüchsen. Das Gewehr wurde im Jahr 1954 in der staatlichen britischen Waffenfabrik ROF Fazakerley in Liverpool gebaut.
Die entscheidende Verbesserung: Die No. 4 Mk 2 wurde im Juli 1949 offiziell eingeführt. Die wichtigste technische Änderung war die Verlegung des Abzugsdrehpunktes direkt an das metallene Systemgehäuse (Receiver). Dadurch blieb der Abzug unabhängig von Holzeinflüssen konstant präzise.

Sie stammt aus einer geerbten Sammlung, die ich nach reiflicher Überlegung nach und nach auflöse. Es fällt nicht leicht, sich von diesen Stücken zu trennen, jedoch sollen sie in die Hände Personen gelangen, die ihre Qualität und Geschichte zu schätzen wissen.
Das Gewehr kann nach vorheriger Terminvereinbarung selbstverständlich vor Ort besichtigt und begutachtet werden. Ich lege großen Wert auf Transparenz, sodass Sie sich persönlich vom Zustand der Waffe überzeugen können.
Der Preis ist Verhandlungsbasis. Allerdings bitte ich darum realistisch zu bleiben.
