I need to thin out my collection a bit and am therefore offering a cavalry pistol of the US Cavalry for sale. This is the model 1855, also known as the Zouave pistol.
The pistol is technically a shortened Remington rifle and has considerable power due to the caliber. It was manufactured by Antonio Zoli and bears the Italian proof mark from 1977, as well as the distribution stamp from Frankonia on the barrel.
Condition is really great considering its age of 49 years. No battered part. It does show its age, but with dignity.
This weapon is more suitable as a fun shooter and less for competitions, which is understandable given its imposing dimensions. Unfortunately, the pistol was ordered in 1977 by my grandpa without the optional stock from Frankonia.

I have only taken the pistol shooting twice in the last two years. Before that, it was only used to fire the occasional primer. The folding loading rod under the barrel works, but is rather impractical at the shooting range. A separate loading rod set would be advisable and would greatly facilitate loading.
The pistol can be purchased freely from the age of 18, so proof of age is required.

Ich muss meine Sammlung etwas ausdünnen und biete daher eine Reiterpistole der US Kavallerie zum Verkauf an. Es handelt sich um das Modell 1855, auch bekannt als Zouave Pistole.
Die Pistole ist technisch gesehen ein gekürztes Remington-Gewehr und hat aufgrund des Kalibers ordentlich Dampf. Sie wurde von Antonio Zoli hergestellt und trägt den italienischen Beschuss von 1977, sowie den Vertriebsstempel von Frankonia auf dem Lauf.
Zustand in anbetracht des Alters von 49 Jahren wirklich toll. Kein abgerantztes Teil. sie zeigt zwar ihr Alter, allerdings mit Würde.
Diese Waffe ist eher als Fun Shooter geeignet und weniger für Wettkämpfe, was bei den imposanten Abmessungen nachvollziehbar ist. Leider wurde die Pistole 1977 von meinem Opa ohne den optionalen Schaft bei Frankonia bestellt.

Ich war mit der Pistole in den letzten zwei Jahren nur zweimal beim Schießen. Davor wurde allenfalls das eine oder andere Zündhütchen damit verknallt. Der klappbare Ladestock unter dem Lauf funktioniert zwar, ist jedoch auf dem Schießstand eher unpraktisch. Eine separate Ladestock-Garnitur wäre empfehlenswert und erleichtert das Laden ungemein.
Die Pistole ist ab 18 Jahren frei zu erwerben. daher ist ein Altersnachweis erforderlich.
