For sale is a very well-preserved Swiss M1918 bayonet from surplus stock.
The bayonet is in its original condition. The finish on the scabbard is worn, which is normal for a bayonet that has been in use. The blade itself is absolutely flawless and the tip may appear somewhat "angular" in the pictures, but in reality, it is exactly as it was at the time of issue.
A nice detail is that the small leather strap has not been simply cut off, as is often the case, to fit a newer frog or belt buckle. By intentionally cutting it off, the charm and especially the collector's value would be lost.
Proof of age required.

Zum Verkauf steht ein sehr schön erhaltenes Schweizer M1918 Bajonett aus Überbestand.
Das Bajonett befindet sich im originalen Zustand. Der Lack an der Scheide ist abgenutzt, was bei einem in Gebrauch befindlichen Bajonett normal ist. Die Klinge selbst ist absolut makellos und die Spitze wirkt auf den Bildern vielleicht etwas "kantig", ist aber in Wirklichkeit genau so, wie sie zum Zeitpunkt der Ausgabe war.
Ein nettes Detail ist, dass der kleine Lederriemen nicht wie so oft einfach abgeschnitten wurde, um an einen neueren Frosch oder Koppelschuh angepasst zu werden. Durch das absichtliche Abtrennen würde der Charme und vor allem der Sammlerwert verloren gehen.
