Thus, the 460 weighs over 1.7 kg with its X-Large frame. Thanks to the installed compensator, the recoil during firing is - bearable - reduced.
Cartridges in caliber .454 Casull and .45 Colt can also be fired from it.

Das Modell 460 V von Smith & Wesson ist ein Revolver für maximale Energiefreisetzung im Kaliber .460 S&W Magnum mit einem 5-Zoll langen Lauf. Das große Kaliber erfordert einen massiven widerstandsfähigen Rahmen. So bringt der 460er mit seinem X-Large Rahmen über 1,7 kg auf die Waage. Dank des verbauten Kompensators, wird der Rückstoß bei der Schussabgabe jedoch - erträglich - reduziert.
Es können auch Patronen im Kaliber .454 Casull und .45 Colt daraus verschossen werden.
