The model 460 V from Smith & Wesson is a revolver designed for maximum energy release in caliber .460 S&W Magnum with a 5-inch long barrel. The large caliber requires a massive, durable frame. Thus, the 460 weighs over 1.7 kg with its X-Large frame. Thanks to the installed compensator, the recoil during firing is - bearable - reduced.

Cartridges in caliber .454 Casull and .45 Colt can also be fired from it.
