The Sig Sauer SG560 Sport is a variant of the new SG56X platform with a 20" barrel and a 1:10" twist. A combination of the AR15 and the proven SG550 platform, the new SG56X models offer the robust precision of the Swiss military rifle with the modularity of the globally dominant AR15 platform.
The upper receiver has been revised, especially in the area of the handguard, and features as standard a free-floating barrel. The aluminum handguard has surrounding M-LOK interfaces and, together with the receiver, includes a continuous Picatinny rail at 12 o'clock. The Long Stroke Piston gas system is still adjustable in several positions and, like the bolt with the accompanying charging handle, corresponds to the classic SIG, making it an evolution of the AK47 system. A QD sling swivel for the M-LOK interfaces rounds it all off.
The lower receiver has been more closely adapted to the AR15 and can now accommodate AR15 triggers - the excellent, adjustable MAK DRS Trigger is installed as standard - as well as AR15 safeties - a Radian Talon with 45° is installed, but it can also be converted to 90°. The grip is also AR15 standard, with the SigSauer reduced angle AR pistol grip included as standard.
The magazine well is interchangeable - as standard, the receiver accepts SG55X magazines, BUT the included magazine adapter allows the use of AR15 STANAG magazines. It is installed as standard upon delivery, and the weapon is supplied with the original Swiss SG55X magazine. Both magazine options use the same magazine release lever, and the handling corresponds to the AR15. The bolt catch is now ambidextrous.
The stock attachment is a Picatinny interface, as with the SIG Sauer MCX Virtus, and features a folding stock adapter with AR15 MilSpec carbine buffer tube - many words to say that the absolute standard for the AR15 is installed. A Magpul CTR stock is available to the shooter as standard, but nearly any other AR15 stock can be mounted. The CTR stock features a QD socket, making the weapon ready for the usual sling swivels and rifle slings along with the adapter for the handguard.
The SIG Sauer SG56X is a high-quality, precise, and unholy combination of the AK47 and AR15, reliably establishing the proven Swiss weapon platform in the market heavily influenced by the AR15.
Please note:
Despite the adaptation to the AR15, the weapon still uses its own receivers, so mounting AR15 interchangeable systems is not possible.

Die Sig Sauer SG560 Sport ist eine Variante der neuen SG56X Plattform mit 20" Lauf und 1:10" Drall. Eine Kombination aus der AR15 und der bewährten SG550 Plattform, bieten die neuen SG56X Modelle die robuste Präzision des Schweizer Militärgewehres mit der Modularität der weltweit dominierenden AR15 Plattform.
Das obere Gehäuse wurde vor allem im Bereich des Handschutz überarbeitet und verfügt als Standard über einen freischwingenden Lauf, der Aluminium-Handschutz verfügt über umlaufende M-LOK Schnittstellen und zusammen mit dem Gehäuse über eine durchgehende Picatinnyschiene auf 12 Uhr. Das Long Stroke Piston Gasdrucksystem ist weiterhin in mehreren Positionen einstellbar und entspricht wie der Verschluss mit dem mitlaufenden Ladehebel der klassischen SIG und ist damit eine Weiterentwicklung des AK47-Systems. Eine QD-Öse für die M-LOK Schnittstellen rundet das Ganze ab.
Das untere Gehäuse wurde stärker an die AR15 angepasst und kann jetzt AR15 Abzüge aufnehmen - ab Werk ist der hervorragende, einstellbare MAK DRS Trigger verbaut - sowie AR15 Sicherungen - eine Radian Talon mit 45° ist verbaut, diese kann aber auch auf 90° umgebaut werden. Der Griff ist ebenso AR15 Standard, der SigSauer reduced angle AR pistol grip ist hier ab Werk dabei.
Der Magazinschacht ist wechselbar - als Standard nimmt das Gehäuse die SG55X Magazine ABER der beiliegende Magazinadpater ermöglicht die Verwendung von AR15 STANAG Magazinen. Er ist bei der Lieferung als Standard verbaut, die Waffe wird mit dem original Schweizer SG55X Magazin ausgeliefert. Beide Magazinoptionen nutzen den gleichen Magazinlösehebel, die Handhabung entspricht der AR15. Der Verschlussfang ist jetzt beidseitig bedienbar.
Die Schaftbefestigung ist eine Picatinny-Schnittstelle, wie bei der SIG Sauer MCX Virtus, und verfügt über einen Klappschaftadapter mit AR15 MilSpec Carbine Buffer Tube - viele Worte um zu sagen, dass der absolute Standard für die AR15 verbaut ist. Ein Magpul CTR Schaft steht dem Schützen ab Werk zur Verfügung, es kann aber nahezu jeder andere AR15 Schaft montiert werden. Der CTR Stock verfügt über eine QD Aufnahme womit die Waffe zusammen mit dem Adapter für den Handschutz gleich für die üblichen Riemenbügel und Gewehrriemen vorbereitet ist.
Die SIG Sauer SG56X ist eine hochwertige, präzise und unheilige Verbindung der AK47 und AR15 und etabliert die bewährte Schweizer Waffenplattform zuverlässig auf dem von der AR15 stark beeinflussten Markt.
Bitte beachten:
Trotz der Angleichung an die AR15 benutzt die Waffe immernoch eigene Gehäuse, es ist daher keine Montage von AR15 Wechelsystemen möglich.
