J. P. Sauer & Sohn GmbH, now based in Isny in the Allgäu region of Germany, was founded in Suhl, Thuringia, in 1751 and is thus considered the oldest German firearms company still in operation. From the very beginning, Sauer stood for handcrafted, high-quality hunting rifles.
As early as the end of the 19th century, Sauer also began producing handguns. Today, these are produced and sold under the brand of the sister company SIG Sauer.
In addition to classic bolt-action rifles and shotguns, the product range also includes a double-barreled rifle and a self-loading rifle. Sauer also takes great care to give customers the opportunity to customize their weapons to a large extent - for example, by offering customizable pistol grip inlays.
Price range (bolt action rifles): €1,200 - €6,200
