The J. P. Sauer & Sohn GmbH, based in Isny in the Allgäu today, was founded in 1751 in Suhl, Thuringia, and is thus considered the oldest still active German arms company. From the very beginning, Sauer stood for high-quality handcrafted hunting weapons.
By the end of the 19th century, Sauer also began the production of handguns. Today, these are produced and distributed under the brand of the sister company SIG Sauer.
In addition to classic bolt-action rifles and shotguns, the product range also includes a double rifle and a semi-automatic rifle model. Sauer also pays great attention to giving customers the opportunity to largely customize their weapon - for example, through the offer of customizable pistol grip inlays.
Price range (bolt-action rifles): €1,200 - €6,200
Price range (semi-automatic rifles): €2,500 - €4,500
