The Walther PDP Full Size is a modern pistol made in Germany. Manufactured by the traditional manufacturer Carl Walther, the PDP platform is characterized by very good ergonomics and emphasizes good "pointability," meaning quick target acquisition through an intuitive grip. Robustly constructed and equipped with several automatic safeties, the pistol offers secure handling under all conditions, thanks in part to its aggressive texturing on the slide and grip, while the specially shaped grip end provides additional support with a small "lip" for the hand.
Each version of the PDP is equipped with an "optic ready" interface, allowing a variety of optics to be mounted thanks to corresponding adapter plates. The interface sits low in the slide, enabling co-witnessing with many red dot sights already with the standard sights. The rear sight and front sight use the Glock standard - personal optimization is therefore not hindered.
All PDP models feature a stepped chamber, which ensures better guidance of the cartridge and more efficient combustion behavior - resulting in a cleaner and more precise shooting weapon. The slide catch and disassembly lever are arranged on both sides, and the magazine release button is standardly mounted on the left side but can also be converted.
The Walther PDP Fullsize features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps (3 included) and the "Performance Duty Trigger," the service standard trigger with an excellent characteristic in its class. With a clearly defined pressure point at 1,250g, the trigger breaks cleanly at 2,500g. The take-up is minimal and does not drag, and the reset is minimal. The standard magazine capacity is 18 rounds, and the main difference from the "Compact" model is found in the grip length: it is approximately 8mm longer.

Die Walther PDP Full Size ist eine moderne Pistole aus deutscher Fertigung. Hergestellt von dem Traditionshersteller Carl Walther zeichnet sich die PDP-Plattform durch eine sehr gute Ergonomie aus und legt Wert auf eine gute "pointability", d. h. eine schnelle Zielerfassung durch eine intuitive Handlage. Robust gefertigt und mit mehreren automatischen Sicherungen versehen, bietet die Pistole nicht zuletzt durch Ihre aggressive Strukturierung an Schlitten und Griffstück ein sicheres handling unter allen Bedingungen, das speziell geformte Griffende gibt mit einer kleinen "Lippe" der Hand zusätzlich Halt.
Jede Version der PDP ist mit einer "optic ready" Schnittstelle ausgestattet, wodurch dank entsprechender Adapterplatten eine Vielzahl von Optiken montiert werden kann. Die Schnittstelle sitzt tief im Schlitten, ein Co-Witnessing ist hiermit bei vielen Leuchtpunktvisieren bereits mit der Standardvisierung gegeben. Kimme und Korn verwenden den Glock-Standard - einer persönlichen Optimierung steht dadurch nichts im Wege.
Alle PDP-Modelle verfügen über ein gestuftes Patronenlager, dieses sorgt für eine bessere Liderung der Patrone und ein effizienteres Abbrandverhalten - für eine sauberer und präziser schießende Waffe. Der Schlittenfang- und Zerlegehebel sind beidseitig angeordnet, der Magazinlöseknopf ist als Standard auf der linken Seite montiert aber lässt sich auch umbauen.
Die Walther PDP Fullsize verfügt über ein Polymergriffstück mit wechselbaren Griffrücken (3 Stück liegen bei) und den "Performancy Duty Trigger", den dienstlichen Standardabzug mit einer hervorragenden Charakteristik in seiner Klasse. Mit einem klar definierten Druckpunkt bei 1.250g bricht der Abzug sauber bei 2.500g. Der Vorweg ist gering und schleift nicht, der Reset minimal. Die Standard-Magazinkapazität beträgt 18 Schuss und der Hauptunterschied zum "Compact" Modell ist in der Griffstücklänge verortet: es ist ca. 8mm länger.
