The Walther PDP Full Size is a modern pistol made in Germany. Manufactured by the traditional manufacturer Carl Walther, the PDP platform is characterized by very good ergonomics and emphasizes good "pointability," meaning quick target acquisition through an intuitive grip. Robustly constructed and equipped with several automatic safeties, the pistol offers secure handling under all conditions, thanks in part to its aggressive texturing on the slide and grip, while the specially shaped grip end provides additional support with a small "lip" for the hand.

Each version of the PDP is equipped with an "optic ready" interface, allowing a variety of optics to be mounted thanks to corresponding adapter plates. The interface sits low in the slide, enabling co-witnessing with many red dot sights already with the standard sights. The rear sight and front sight use the Glock standard - personal optimization is therefore not hindered.

All PDP models feature a stepped chamber, which ensures better guidance of the cartridge and more efficient combustion behavior - resulting in a cleaner and more precise shooting weapon. The slide catch and disassembly lever are arranged on both sides, and the magazine release button is standardly mounted on the left side but can also be converted.

The Walther PDP Fullsize features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps (3 included) and the "Performance Duty Trigger," the service standard trigger with an excellent characteristic in its class. With a clearly defined pressure point at 1,250g, the trigger breaks cleanly at 2,500g. The take-up is minimal and does not drag, and the reset is minimal. The standard magazine capacity is 18 rounds, and the main difference from the "Compact" model is found in the grip length: it is approximately 8mm longer.
