This AEG is electrically operated, can shoot semi-automatically and fully automatically, and is legally considered a toy, as its muzzle energy is below 0.5 Joules. Please note: It is still considered a so-called imitation weapon. Please observe the relevant legal regulations. A (LiPo) battery and ammunition are required for operation.
About this weapon:
The latest version of the well-known A&K M249 series. In this case, fully licensed by Cybergun with FN markings.
The body has been revised, and the gearbox upgraded (steel tooth piston, better motor, various CNC parts, e.g., CNC gears, 8mm bearings...).
The body is mostly made of polymer to significantly reduce the weight of the weapon and make it more effective to play with.
Regarding the throttling method:
We optimize throttling with Shortstroke, possibly additionally with spring shortening. Here, teeth are removed from the sector gear and piston to lower the energy. The weapon is usually compatible with 11.1V, making the response and sound a bit crisper. Important: No excessively large 11.1V batteries should be used, as even the best-built 0.5 Joule will eventually wear out.
In general, all our 0.5 Joule weapons have a functioning HopUp system that can hop at least 0.25g BBs. It is important that the performance usually decreases when a lot of hop is set. Therefore, we normally recommend 0.2g BBs for 0.5 Joule weapons.
Important:
- We do not deliver this weapon with less than 0.4 Joules.
- We generally solder Dean-T connectors unless otherwise requested.
The range of a 0.5 Joule weapon is usually around 40-45m, with the effective range where you can still hit something usually at 30-35m.
Without further tuning, the rate of fire of a normal AEG weapon, depending on the motor, battery quality, and system tuning, is between 650 and 900 shots/min (11-15 shots/second) with a 7.4V LiPo battery and between 950 and 1300 shots/min (16-22 shots/second) with an 11.1V LiPo battery (not with spring throttling!). With DSG, the rates of fire go up enormously - probably around 1400/min at 7.4V. With speed gears, it also depends on the gear ratio.
We include an exact chronograph protocol indicating the rate of fire. It may vary slightly depending on the quality of the battery used later.
