The term "Ten Kei" can be translated as "Gift of Heaven" and symbolizes the beauty of nature. Inspired by this, fine floral motifs are reflected in the handcrafted fittings adorned with gold and silver. The blade is hand-forged in the elaborate Kobuse style. Here, a hard mantle of 1095 carbon steel surrounds a core of softer, low-carbon steel. Like its historical predecessors, this katana uniquely combines grace and utility. The hardening is differentiated to about 60° Rockwell at the edge and about 40° Rockwell at the spine. This difference in hardness is visible in a genuine, finely crafted Hamon line. - Blade in Shinogi-Zukuri style with a fuller - Blade in Kobuse style. - Handle wrapping made of black silk in Katate-Maki style (war wrapping), backed with ray skin. - Black, high-gloss lacquered scabbard (Kuroro style) with fittings (Kojiri, Kurigata, Koiguchi) made of buffalo horn. - Blade collar (Habaki) and spacers (Seppa) are made of brass. - With a long tang, which is fixed in the handle with 2 bamboo pegs (Mekugi). The sword is thus fully disassemblable. - All decorative elements (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are handcrafted from metal and give each sword its personal touch. - Delivery is in an attractive wooden collector's box, including a high-gloss lacquered stand lined with velvet. - Each original John Lee sword comes with a seal and a certificate. Davon inspiriert, spiegeln sich in den handgearbeiteten, mit Gold und Silber veredelten Beschlägen feine Blumenmotive wieder. Die Klinge wird von Hand im aufwendigen Kobuse-Stil geschmiedet. Hier umgibt ein harter Mantel aus 1095 Kohlenstoffstahl einen Kern aus weicherem, kohlenstoffarmem Stahl. Wie seine historischen Vorgänger verbindet auch dieses Katana Anmut und Nutzen in einzigartiger Weise.Die Härtung erfolgt differenziert auf ca. 60° Rockwell an der Schneide und ca. 40° Rockwell am Klingenrücken.
