5-fold rifled, octagonal 8" barrel with very well preserved patent markings on the top "PATENTED SEPT. 14 1858 / E.REMINGTON & SONS.ILION.NEWYORK.U.S.A. / NEW-MODEL"; blued front sight
Frame and barrel marked "P" on the right, "W" on the left
6-shot, smooth cylinder marked "G" & "W", pistons in good condition (small signs of corrosion)
Trigger guard made of brass
Original walnut grip panels with well-preserved imprint of the inspector's stamp on the left grip panel, probably marked "OWA"
