The S 101 Highland XTC not only sets a house record for weight but also presents a new high-tech surface on the barrel and casing that is second to none. The perfectly balanced all-round rifle with hand-laid real carbon stock, fluted barrel with muzzle thread, and fluted chamber features all the popular top features of the 101 series. These include, among others, the largely closed system, enlarged ejection window, and double ejector pin.

Carbon is not just carbon. To realize not only the optical but also the outstanding technical properties of carbon, the highest quality is required. The stocks are therefore manufactured in close cooperation with a high-tech company specializing in carbon in Germany.

DLC: Maximum Protection
Diamond Like Carbon, or DLC for short, is 40 times thinner than a human hair but many times harder than steel. This high-tech coating, produced in Germany and used in aerospace, mechanical engineering, and even surgery, combines absolute wear resistance, hardness, and corrosion resistance. The steel is bombarded in a high vacuum under plasma with carbon atoms, so that the energy released causes the carbon to transition into a very hard, diamond-like phase.

The Blaser B2 riflescopes have been designed from the ground up for use with attachment technology. Each model has undergone the same shock resistance tests as those required for the testing of premium riflescopes without attachment devices – and passed with flying colors.
With an overall length up to four centimeters shorter than comparable riflescopes, the Blaser B2 riflescopes are extremely compact. In hunting, this short design ensures that the attachment device can be comfortably operated in the shooting position and that the center of gravity of the weapon is not unnecessarily shifted forward. Another advantage of the short length is the short travel distances of the moving lenses of the zoom system, resulting in better mechanical precision and more stable point of impact when changing magnification. At the same time, the mechanical robustness compensates for the additional stress on the riflescope when shooting with an attachment device.
In combination with the easy-to-mount, absolutely repeatable attachment mounts and the corresponding attachment optics, the Blaser B2 riflescopes become true night hunting specialists.

Diamond Like Carbon, oder kurz DLC ist 40-mal dünner als ein menschliches Haar, aber um ein vielfaches härter als Stahl. Diese in Deutschland produzierte und in Luft- und Raumfahrt, Maschinenbau und sogar Chirurgie verwendete High-Tech Schicht vereint absolute Verschleißfestigkeit, Härte und Korrosionsbeständigkeit. Dabei wird der Stahl im Hochvakuum unter Plasma mit Kohlenstoff-Atomen beschossen, sodass durch die freiwerdende Energie der Kohlenstoff in eine sehr harte, Diamant-ähnlichen Phase übergeht.

Die Blaser B2 Zielfernrohre haben wir von Grund auf für die Verwendung mit Vorsatztechnik konstruiert. Dabei hat jedes Modell die gleichen Schussfestigkeitstests durchlaufen, wie sie für die Prüfung von Premium-Zielfernrohren ohne Vorsatzgerät üblich sind – und mit Bravour bestanden.
Mit einer gegenüber vergleichbaren Zielfernrohren um bis zu vier Zentimeter geringeren Gesamtlänge sind die Blaser B2 Zielfernrohre äußerst kompakt. Auf der Jagd sorgt diese Kurzbauweise dafür, dass das Vorsatzgerät im Anschlag komfortabel bedienbar ist und der Schwerpunkt der Waffe nicht unnötig nach vorne verlagert wird. Ein weiterer Vorteil der geringen Baulänge sind die kurzen Verschiebewege der beweglichen Linsen des Zoomsystems und dadurch eine bessere mechanische Präzision sowie stabilere Treffpunktlage beim Wechsel der Vergrößerung. Gleichzeitig kompensiert die mechanische Robustheit die zusätzliche Belastung des Zielfernrohrs beim Schuss mit Vorsatzgerät.
In Kombination mit den einfach zu montierenden, absolut wiederholgenauen Vorsatzmontagen und der entsprechenden Vorsatzoptik werden die Blaser B2 Zielfernrohre zu wahren Nachtjagd-Spezialisten.
