Der RU31 Rucksack von Essl wurde als leichter Wanderrucksack konzipiert. Durch den gespannten Netzrücken wird der Rücken angenehm belüftet und der Tragekomfort erhöht. An der Vorderseite befindet sich zusätzlich eine Vortasche mit vertikalen Reißverschluss. Diese eignet sich optimal für die Dinge des täglichen Gebrauchs. Im Bodenfach befindet sich ein integriertes Regencape. Durch dieses ist der RU 31 und sein Inhalt auch bei Nässe und Wind immer gut geschützt. Das geräumige Hauptfach lässt sich durch einen Rundbogenreißverschluss öffnen.
