The weapon is in excellent, almost new condition.
The system has been bedded in synthetic resin, and the trigger has been revised.
An EAW pivot mount with 30mm ring mount (Magnum fore ring) has been installed, and the mounting bases have been additionally glued with Loctite 638.
The weapon features the reliable long extractor (System 98) which ensures that the cartridge is immediately controlled when fed from the magazine (controlled Round feed).
The safety directly affects the firing pin and has three positions (forward is off safe, in the middle is safe but the bolt can be opened for unloading, and back is safe with the firing pin and bolt locked).
The recoil force is absorbed by two steel cross bolts in the stock.
The open sights (butterfly rear sight and white bead front sight, as well as the bases) are made of steel parts. The rear sight can be adjusted laterally in the dovetail and in height via screws. The weapon has already been used by the previous owner for buffalo hunting in Africa.
Therefore, there are two tiny pressure points visible on the fore-end and in the rear part of the stock; you have to look closely to notice them.
The chamber has a sun cut, and there is a nicely executed checkering on the fore-end and the wrist. At the end of the stock, there is a rubber cap that effectively dampens the recoil.
A sling swivel is located on the barrel, allowing the weapon to be carried comfortably low and preventing injuries and bruises from recoil on the hand at the fore-end.
The magazine holds 3 cartridges (with one cartridge in the chamber, a total of 4 shots are available).
The magazine cover can be opened for quick unloading of the magazine. The locking of the magazine cover is solidly constructed and is normally not opened unintentionally or by recoil.
I have not shot the weapon often; I bought it because I liked the system.
As a reloader, I have also successfully used it a few times in my home area with reduced loads.
However, it is not intended for that purpose; it is a true African weapon and suitable for all game there. The shooting performance with 300 grain Barnes TSX bullets is excellent; I have not tested 400 grain bullets (cartridges), but it was built for that.

Die Waffe befindet sich in einem hervorragenden ,fast neuwertigen Zustand.
Das System wurde nachträglich in Kunstharz gebettet , der Abzug wurde überarbeitet.
Es wurde eine EAW-Schwenkmontage verbaut mit 30mm Ring-Montage (Magnum Vorderring) , die Montagesockel wurden zusätzlich mit Loctite 638 verklebt.
Die Waffe besitzt den zuverlässigen langen Auszieher (System 98) der auch dafür sorgt das die Patrone beim Zuführen aus dem Magazin sofort kontrolliert geführt wird (controlled Round feed).
Die Sicherung wirkt direkt auf den Schlagbolzen und hat drei Stellungen( nach vorne entsichert, in der Mitte gesichert aber Verschluss kann zum Entladen geöffnet werden , hinten gesichert Schlagbolzen und Verschluss gesperrt )
Die Rückstoßkraft wird über zwei Stahl-Querstollen im Schaft aufgenommen.
Die offene Visierung(Schmetterlings-Kimme und weißes Perlkorn , sowie die Sockel) besteht aus Stahlteilen. Die Kimme lässt sich im Schwalbenschwanz seitlich und über Schrauben in der Höhe verstellen. Die Waffe wurde vom Vorbesitzer schon einmal auf Büffeljagd in Afrika eingesetzt.
Deshalb sind am Vorderschaft und im Hinteren Teil des Schaftes zwei winzige Druckstellen zu sehen , man muss genau hinsehen um sie zu bemerken .
Die Verschlusskammer besitzt einen Sonnenschliff, am Vorder-Schaft und am Kolbenhals befindet sich eine griffige schön ausgeführte Fischhautverschneidung . Am Schaftende ist eine Gummi-Kappe die den Rückstoß gut dämpft montiert.
Eine Riemenbügelöse befindet sich am Lauf , damit lässt sich die Waffe angenehm tief tragen und vermeidet Verletzungen und Prellungen durch den Rückstoß an der Hand am Vorderschaft.
Das Magazin fasst 3 Patronen (es stehen mit einer Patrone im Lager also 4 Schuss zur Verfügung).
Der Magazin-Deckel lässt sich aufklappen zum schnellen entladen des Magazins. Die Arretierung des Magazin-Deckels ist solide ausgeführt und normalerweise nicht unbewusst oder durch den Rückstoß zu öffnen.
Ich habe die Waffe nicht oft geschossen, habe sie gekauft weil mir das System gefallen hat .
Da ich Wiederlader bin habe ich sie auch im heimischen Revier mit reduzierter Ladung ein paarmal mit Erfolg eingesetzt.
Aber für den Zweck ist sie nicht gedacht , sie ist eine echte Afrikawaffe und dort für alles Wild einsetzbar. Die Schussleistung ist mit 300 grain Barnes TSX Geschossen hervorragend , 400 grain Geschosse (Patronen) habe ich nicht getestet , aber dafür wurde sie gebaut.
