For sale is a Chassepot rifle modified to a carbine. I cannot answer when the modification took place... in any case, the front sight has been professionally soldered back onto the barrel. The seal is still okay, the rifling in the barrel is clearly visible, and it is capable of firing. The barrel and barrel band have some rust pitting. Due to the modification, the Chassepot is very handy with an overall length of only 101cm.

Zum Verkauf kommt ein auf Karabiner abgeändertes Chassepot Gewehr. Wann die Änderung erfolgt ist, kann ich nicht beantworten…auf jeden Fall ist das Korn wieder professionell auf den Lauf aufgelötet worden. Dichtung ist noch ok, Züge im Lauf gut erkennbar, schussfähig. Lauf und Laufband sind etwas rostnarbig. Das Chassepot ist durch die Änderung sehr führig mit einer Gesamtlänge von nur 101cm.
