Background

The Norinco M305 is a high-quality replica of the American M14 with roots that trace back to the beginning of the Vietnam War: The Chinese manufactured tens of thousands of replicas based on captured USGI M14s, intended for rebels in the Philippines, but were merely stored. Some specimens were converted to semi-automatic around 1990 and primarily exported to Canada. A few specimens have made it to Germany. Hintergrund

Das Norinco M305 ist ein hochwertiger Nachbau des amerikanischen M14 mit Wurzeln, die zurück zum Beginn des Vietnamkriegs reichen: Die Chinesen fertigten auf Basis erbeuteter USGI M14 Zehntausende Nachbauten, die für Rebellen auf den Philippinen gedacht waren, aber lediglich eingelagert wurden. Einige Exemplare wurden um 1990 als Halbautomat umgebaut und hauptsächlich nach Kanada exportiert. Einige wenige Exemplare haben es nach Deutschland geschafft.
