For sale is a Smith & Wesson Revolver Model 65-5 in .357 Magnum caliber with a 3-inch barrel, made of stainless steel.
The weapon is in very good, almost new condition. It has been shot little and was mostly a pure cabinet weapon. Only the typical, unavoidable micro-scratches of stainless steel are visible.
I purchased the revolver in 2021 from my local gunsmith. The weapon came from the first ownership of an older hunter and was already in nearly unfired condition at that time. I also did not use the revolver for hunting and only used it twice at the shooting range.
It's actually a shame, as it is an exceptionally robust and proven hunting weapon.
Grips
The original wooden grip panels are in like-new condition and are included loose.
Currently mounted is a high-quality rubber grip from the FARRAR Tool Company. This is a rare version from old US stock (NOS, New-Old-Stock). The grip fits perfectly with the manufacturing period of the revolver.

(Show description in original language)Zum Verkauf steht ein Smith & Wesson Revolver Modell 65-5 im Kaliber .357 Magnum mit 3-Zoll-Lauf, aus Edelstahl.
Die Waffe befindet sich in sehr guten, fast neuwertigem Zustand. Sie wurde wenig geschossen und war überwiegend eine reine Schrankwaffe. Lediglich erkennbar sind die edelstahl-typischen, unvermeidlichen Microkratzer.
Ich habe den Revolver 2021 bei meinem Büchsenmacher vor Ort erworben. Die Waffe stammte aus dem Erstbesitz eines älteren Jägers und präsentierte sich bereits damals in nahezu ungeschossenem Zustand. Auch von mir wurde der Revolver nicht jagdlich geführt und lediglich zweimal auf dem Schießstand verwendet.
Eigentlich schade, da es sich um eine ausgesprochen robuste und bewährte Fangschusswaffe handelt.
Griffe
Die originalen Holzgriffschalen sind im neuwertigen Zustand und liegen lose bei.
Aktuell montiert ist ein hochwertiger Gummigriff der FARRAR Tool Company. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine seltene Ausführung aus alten US-Lagerbeständen (NOS, New-Old-Stock). Der Griff passt zeitlich hervorragend zur Herstellungsperiode des Revolvers.
