A true piece of history – With the Walther CP88, not only did a high-quality and authentic replica of the Walther P88 enter the Umarex range, but it was also the first CO₂ pistol in the company to fire Diabolos, marking a true milestone in the company's history. Precision, performance, and reliability were groundbreaking for the current generation of Made in Germany air guns and have convinced sport and recreational shooters then as now.
Crucial to its success is the performance-optimized system that relies on an 8-shot rotary magazine. Unlike many pistols, it is not located in the grip but is placed directly in the two-part slide at the barrel. This guarantees the CP88 a clean feed of the Diabolos into the rifled barrel. The driving force is provided by a 12 g CO₂ capsule.
The Competition barrel extracts the last reserves of precision from the Walther CP88. It guides the Diabolo 143 mm instead of 90 mm.

Ein echtes Stück Geschichte – Mit der Walther CP88 erhielt nicht nur ein hochwertiger und originalgetreuer Nachbau der Walther P88 Einzug in das Umarex-Sortiment. Sie ist auch die erste CO₂-Pistole im Hause, die Diabolos verschoss und setzte damit einen wahren Meilenstein der Unternehmensgeschichte. Präzision, Leistung und Zuverlässigkeit waren wegweisend für die aktuelle Generation von Made in Germany-Druckluftwaffen und überzeugten damals wie heute Sport- und Freizeitschützen.
Erfolgsentscheidend ist das leistungsoptimierte System, das auf ein 8-schüssiges Trommelmagazin setzt. Anders als bei vielen Pistolen sitzt es nicht im Griff, sondern wird direkt im zweigeteilten Schlitten am Lauf platziert. So garantiert es der CP88 eine saubere Zuführung der Diabolos in den gezogenen Lauf. Die treibende Kraft liefert eine 12 g CO₂-Kapsel.
Der Competition-Lauf entlockt der Walther CP88 letzte Präzisionsreserven. Durch ihn wird das Diabolo 143 mm statt 90 mm geführt.
