Skeleton stock of a KP-9 (Vityaz clone).
Designed for Russian AK-100 5.5 mm Rear Trunnion. Therefore, it can be installed in Saiga and Yunker 2 to 5.
This is an available and more affordable variant of the AKS-74 side-folding stock.
Since the Vityaz has a shortened housing and the stock is locked at the extended cross pin of the barrel on this weapon, the catch bay on this stock is located at the upper end instead of at the rear.
It can therefore be folded, but unfortunately cannot be hooked in the front when folded (if installed on standard AK / Saiga / Yunker).
In unfolded configuration, the stock is absolutely identical to a common AKS-74 side-folding stock.
It offers an effective way to replicate the retro setup of the classic AKS-74 both functionally and visually.
Notes:
Theoretically also compatible with 4.5 mm Bulgarian Rear Trunnion (like Arsenal), however, you will then get an angle with a noticeable slope in the unfolded state, which closely resembles the angle of a Type-56 stock.
The surface appears to be anthracite-phosphated, so I would recommend regularly oiling the piece.
It is black when oiled, and rather anthracite when "dry".
Some surface rust had formed inside, but I was able to wipe most of it away with some gun oil. However, the spot is a bit awkward to reach, so it is not 100% removed (see photos). This is neither a threat to the component nor to the integrity of the stock, and certainly not to the AK.
If you are still bothered by it, you might want to go in with an oiled toothbrush in that area.
Aside from that, there are hardly any signs of use and it is in absolutely top condition. The mechanism locks and swings perfectly.

Skelettschaft einer KP-9 (Vityaz Klon).
Ausgelegt für russischen AK-100 5.5 mm Rear Trunnion. Kann daher in Saiga und Yunker 2 bis 5 verbaut werden.
Es handelt sich um eine verfügbare und preiswertere Variante des AKS-74 Seitenklappschafts.
Da die Vityaz ein verkürztes Gehäuse hat und der Schaft bei dieser Waffe am verlängerten Querstift des Laufs arretiert, befindet sich die Fang-Bucht bei diesem Schaft am oberen Ende anstatt am Heck.
Er kann daher zwar eingeklappt werden, kann aber im eingeklappten Zustand leider nicht vorne eingehakt werden (sofern bei Standard AK100 / Saiga / Yunker verbaut).
In aufgeklappter Konfiguration ist der Schaft aber absolut identisch mit einem gängigen AKS-74 Seitenklappschaft.
Er bietet eine effektive Möglichkeit sowohl funktional als auch optisch das eine klassische AKS-74 nachzubilden.
Anmerkungen:
Ist selbstredend auch an Vityaz, Bizon und KP-9 montierbar, und kann hier, im eingeklappten Zustand, korrekt eingehakt werden.
Theoretisch auch kompatibel mit 4.5 mm bulgarischem Rear Trunnion (Arsenal), allerdings kriegen Sie dann im aufgeklappten Zustand einen Winkel mit deutlichem Gefälle raus, der gut und gerne dem Winkel eines Type-56 Schafts gleicht.
Oberfläche scheint anthrazit-phosphatiert zu sein, ich würde daher raten das Stück regelmäßig zu ölen.
Ist in eingeöltem Zustand schwarz, in "trockenem" Zustand eher anthrazit.
Im inneren hatte sich etwas Flugrost gebildet, ich konnte das Meiste davon aber bereits mit etwas Waffenöl einfach wegwischen. Die Stelle ist jedoch etwas umständlich zu erreichen, ist daher nicht zu 100% entfernt (siehe Fotos).
Das ist aber weder eine Bedrohung für das Bauteil und noch für die Integrität des Schafts und schon garnicht für die AK selbst.
Wenn man sich dennoch daran stört, sollte man einfach nochmal mit einer öligen Zahnbürste in den Bereich vordringen.
Abgesehen davon kaum Gebrauchsspuren und in absolut Top Zustand. Mechanismus arretiert und schwingt absolut einwandfrei.
