The new Magpul DAKA gun case not only offers robust protection for your firearm and optics against shocks, wind, and weather, but also features the modular DAKA GRID system so the case can be quickly and securely adapted to the firearm being transported. The DAKA Hard Case C35 has internal dimensions of 89.7x42.2x14cm (35.3x16.6x5.5“).
The shell is made of closed-cell expanded polypropylene (EPP), a material that offers very good strength while remaining lightweight. The case is also resistant to oils and solvents, as well as UV radiation. Naturally, the case is protected against rain and splashing water thanks to its hard shell and a surrounding seal.
The streamlined design minimizes protruding edges. The hinges, handle, and latches also blend into the streamlined overall look so the case doesn’t catch when loading and unloading. The corners and areas next to the latches are double-walled so shocks are not transferred to the interior. Feet on the bottom and the recessed lid allow the case to be stacked slip-resistant, and recesses on the lid edge provide secure attachment points for straps during transport.
The large latches can be opened and closed with one hand and are secured with a snap button – both closures feature a sturdy recessed eyelet that accommodates large locks without them protruding beyond the case and catching. Additionally, locks can be secured to the case with cable ties or hook-and-loop straps (4 included).
The two ergonomically shaped handles remain securely in position whether open or closed – a third fixed handle is located between the wheels to make handling the case easier and safer. The wheels allow easier maneuvering and storage of the case – they are ball-bearing mounted and rubber-coated for low-resistance and smooth rolling.
The core – structurally and conceptually – of the DAKA Hard Case is the namesake DAKA GRID system. This modular inlay is also made of EPP and therefore does not absorb dirt, oil, or solvents – it doesn’t get dirty and doesn’t age like traditional foam. Several “hole panels” (organizer panels) hold the DAKA blocks, which can be arranged freely and thus adapted modularly and individually to everything. If especially wide firearms need to be transported, e.g. due to bipods or folding stocks, the panels can simply be removed or cut to size.

Der neue Magpul DAKA Waffenkoffer bietet nicht nur einen robusten Schutz ihrer Waffe und Optik gegen Stöße, Wind und Wetter, sondern auch das modulare DAKA GRID System damit der Koffer schnell und sicher auf die zu transportierende Waffe angepasst werden kann. Die Hülle ist aus geschlossen porigen aufgeschäumten Polypropylen (EPP) gefertigt, dieses Material bietet eine sehr gute Festigkeit bei gleichzeitig geringem Gewicht. Die Schale ist damit auch beständig gegen Öle und Lösungsmittel, sowie gegen UV-Strahlung. Natürlich ist der Koffer dank seiner harten Schale und einer umlaufenden Dichtung auch gegen Regen und Spritzwasser geschützt.
Das stromlinienförmige Design verzichtet weitestmöglich auf herausragende Kanten. Die Scharniere, der Griff und die Laschen passen sich ebenfalls in das stromlinienförmige Gesamtbild ein, damit der Koffer beim Ein- und Ausladen nicht hängenbleibt. An den Ecken und neben den Laschen ist der Koffer doppelwandig ausgeführt damit Stöße nicht auf das Innere übertragen werden. Durch Füße auf der Unterseite und dem abgesetzten Deckel kann der Koffer rutschsicher gestapelt werden, Aussparungen an der Deckelkante bieten Befestigungsriemen Halt beim Transport.
Die großen Laschen können mit einer Hand geöffnet und geschlossen werden und sind mit einem Druckknopf gesichert – beide Schließen verfügen über je Eine stabile zurückversetzte Öse, die auch großen Schlössern Platz bietet ohne, dass diese über den Koffer hinausragen und hängenbleiben können. Zusätzlich können die Schlösser mit Kabelbindern oder Klettbändern (4 Stück beiliegend) am Koffer befestigt werden.
Die beiden ergonomisch geformten Griffe verbleiben im geöffneten und geschlossenen Zustand sicher in ihrer Position – ein dritter fester Griff befindet sich zwischen den Rollen, damit der Koffer leichter und sicherer gehändelt werden kann. Die Rollen erlauben ein leichteres Manövrieren und Verstauen des Koffers – sie sind kugelgelagert und gummibeschichtet für ein widerstandsarmes und ruhiges Rollverhalten.
Das Kernstück – strukturell und konzeptuell – des DAKA Hard Case ist das namensgebende DAKA GRID System. Dieses modulare Inlay ist ebenfalls aus EPP gefertigt und nimmt dadurch keinen Dreck, Öl oder Lösungsmittel auf – es wird nicht dreckig und altert nicht wie klassischer Schaumstoff.
Mehrere „Lochplatten“ (Organizer Panels) bieten den Daka-Blöcken Halt, diese lassen sich beliebig anordnen und so auf alles modular und individuell anpassen. Sollen besonders breite Waffen, z.B. aufgrund von Zweibeinen oder Klappschäften, transportiert werden können die Panels auch einfach entfernt oder zurechtgeschnitten werden.
