The Tippman Arms Thread Protector is a thread protection cap for the widely used 1/2"x28 UNEF threads (sometimes incorrectly referred to as UNF). These are the original parts as used on some models of the Tippmann M4-22, but they can be used for any other weapon with this thread. The thread protection cap is a cap to protect the thread - that's all there is to it. Thanks to its structuring, the cap can be securely gripped and (de-)mounted without tools.
An affordable alternative if the original has been lost or if a thread has been cut afterwards.
In Germany, still relatively unknown, Tippmann Arms (Fort Wayne, USA) is considered a real insider tip in the United States for "plinking" – that is, fast, dynamic shooting. This small forge has specialized in small caliber SL rifles in the typical AR style and offers outstanding quality at exceptional prices, ideal for all IPSC shooters. Die Tippman Arms Thread Protector ist eine Gewindeschutzkappe für die weit verbreiteten 1/2"x28 UNEF Gewinde (manchmal auch inkorrekt als UNF bezeichnet). Es handelt sich um die Originalteile, wie sie auf Einigen Modellen der Tippmann M4-22 verbaut sind, sie können aber für jede andere Waffe mit diesem Gewinde genommen werden. Die Gewindeschutzkappe ist eine Kappe um das Gewinde zu schützen - das war es auch schon. Durch die Strukturierung kann die Kappe sicher gegriffen und ohne Werkzeug (de-)montiert werden.
Eine günstige Alternative, wenn das Original verloren gegangen ist oder man ein Gewinde nachträglich geschnitten wurde.
In Deutschland „noch“ relativ unbekannt gilt Tippmann Arms (Fort Wayne, USA) in den Vereinigten Staaten als echter Geheimtipp fürs „plinking“ – sprich schnelles, dynamisches Schießen. Die kleine Schmiede hat sich nämlich auf Kleinkaliber SL-Büchsen im typischen AR-Stil spezialisiert und bietet herausragende Qualität zu überragenden Preisen, ideal für alle IPSC-Schützen. Die Optik spricht für sich und auch das Handling ist wirklich hervorragend.
