The Hornady .300 Blackout with 110gr NTX bullet from the Hornady Black series is a lead-free cartridge for hunting use. The special feature is the NTX bullet, which consists of a classic tombak jacket filled with a sintered copper alloy - a so-called "frangible" bullet core - and equipped with a ballistic polymer tip that has some distance from the core, allowing it to build momentum upon impact before disintegrating the core. This principle ensures a very rapid energy release, making this load optimized for use on thin-skinned and light game, and it should be used primarily for roe deer.
The loads of the "Black" series are designed for functionality in modern weapon systems and optimized for use in semi-automatics and short-barreled rifles.
Please note:
This load is a supersonic cartridge for the .300 BLK and has a correspondingly flat trajectory; compared to a subsonic load, this results in significant point of impact deviations at hunting distances.

Die Hornady .300 Blackout mit 110gr NTX-Geschoss aus der Hornady Black Serie ist eine bleifreie Patrone für den jagdlichen Einsatz. Das Besondere ist das NTX-Geschoss, welches aus einem klassischen Tombakmantel besteht, ausgefüllt mit einer gesinterten Kupferlegierung - einem sogenannten "frangible" Geschosskern - und versehen mit einer ballistischen Polymerspitze die etwas Abstand zum Kern aufweist wodurch sie beim Auftreffen Schwung aufbaut bevor sie den Kern zerlegt. Dieses Prinzip sorgt für eine sehr schnelle Energieabgabe, damit ist diese Laborierung für die Verwendung auf dünnhäutiges und leichtes Wild optimiert und sollte maximal für Rehwild verwendet werden.
Die Laborierungen der "Black" Reihe sind ausgelegt für die Funktion in modernen Waffensystem und optimiert für die Verwendung in Halbautomaten und kurzläufigen Gewehren.

Diese Laborierung ist eine Überschallpatrone für die .300 BLK und weist eine entsprechend gestreckte Flugbahn auf, im Vergleich zu einer Unterschalllaborierung ergeben sich dadurch deutliche Treffpunktabweichungen auf jagdliche Distanzen.
