The Holosun HE509T X2 is a modern and compact closed micro sight designed for use on handguns and long guns. Due to its reticle and compact dimensions, it excels on pistols and shotguns, but also performs well as a backup on self-loading rifles. Equipped with an extremely flat clamp mount, which is integrated into the sight body, the Red Dot can be mounted low and securely on a variety of weapon platforms. An adapter plate for the Trijicon RMR footprint is included. The stable housing is made not of aluminum - but of titanium!
As is typical for Holosun, the sight features a solar cell that powers the emitter - even when the battery is empty. The "Shake Awake" function is also employed, meaning automatic on and off of the dot through motion sensors.
The reticle can be adjusted, as is typical for many Holosun models, and offers the shooter a simple 2 MOA dot (approximately 1.45cm/25m), a 32 MOA target circle (approximately 23.2cm/100m), as well as a combination of both reticles. Brightness can be manually adjusted in 12 levels - of which 2 are night vision compatible - but the sight can also be set to an automatic mode thanks to the light sensor. With the CR1632 battery, the sight achieves a brightness duration of up to 50,000 hours - depending on the setting. And if the battery does run out, the solar cell powers the sight.

Holosun was founded in 2013 in California but is a subsidiary of a Chinese conglomerate. Since the parent company specializes in electro-optical components, the manufacturer offers high-quality optics at a good price/performance ratio. A "trademark" of the company is the solar cell, which is found on almost all optics and allows the use of the sight even with a dead battery. The manufacturer was also one of the first to realize motion-activated activation in affordable optics. After modest beginnings, the company has established itself firmly in the civilian market within a few years and offers an extremely extensive range of red dot sights. Thermal optics, including special models for handguns, are now also part of the portfolio, and the first authorities and militaries are relying on optics from Holosun.

Das Holosun HE509T X2 ist ein modernes und kompaktes geschlossenes Microsight für den Einsatz auf Kurzwaffen und Langwaffen. Aufgrund seines Absehens und seiner kompakten Maße spielt es seine Stärken auf Pistolen und Flinten aus, aber macht auch als backup auf Selbstladebüchsen eine gute Figur. Ausgestattet mit einer extrem flachen Klemmmontage, welche im Visierkörper integriert ist, lässt sich das Red Dot niedrig und sicher auf einer Vielzahl von Waffenplattformen montieren. Eine Adapterplatte auf den Trijicon RMR footprint liegt bei. Das stabile Gehäuse besteht nicht aus Aluminium - sondern aus Titan!
Wie von Holosun gewohnt verfügt das Visier über eine Solarzelle, welche den Emitter mit Strom versorgt - auch, wenn die Batterie leer ist. Ebenfalls kommt natürlich die "Shake Awake" Funktion zum Einsatz, d.h. ein automatisches Ein- und Auschalten es Leuchtpunktes durch Bewegungssensoren.
Das Absehen lässt sich, ebenso typisch für viele Modelle von Holosun, verstellen und bietet dem Schützen einen einfachen 2 MOA Punkt (ca. 1,45cm/25m), einen 32 MOA Zielkreis (ca. 23,2cm/100m) sowie eine Kombination aus beiden Absehen. Die Helligkeit kann in 12 Stufen - davon 2 Nachtsichtkompatibel - manuell eingestellt werden, aber das Visier kann dank Lichtsensor auch auf einen Automatikmodus eingestellt werden. Mit der CR1632 Batterie erreicht das Visier eine Leuchtdauer von bis zu 50.000 Stunden - je nach Einstellung. Und wenn die Batterie doch mal alle ist, versorgt die Solarzelle das Visier mit Strom.

Da die Mutterfirma auf elektro-optische Komponenten spezialisiert ist, bietet der Hersteller hochwertige Optiken zu einem guten Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ein "Markenzeichen" der Firma ist die Solarzelle, welche sich auf fast allen Optiken befindet und den Einsatz des Visieres auch mit leerer Batterie erlaubt. Auch war der Hersteller einer der Ersten, welcher bewegungsaktiviertes Einschalten bei preisgünstigen Optiken realisierte. Nach bescheidenen Anfängen hat sich die Firma innerhalb weniger Jahre fest auf dem Zivilmarkt etabliert und bietet ein äußerst umfangreiches Sortiment an Leuchtpunktvisieren.
