The Eickhorn B2005 CAN is the successor to the proven B2000 CAN, which is used by Canadians among others as a bayonet. Made from Eickhorn special bayonet steel, it features high bending tolerance and toughness. The matte black coating prevents light reflections and increases corrosion resistance, and the integrated wire cutter allows it to be used as a wire scissors in conjunction with the sheath. This is made of polyamide and comes with a Cordura holder for Molle systems and belts. The bayonet has a NATO-compatible attachment.

EICKHORN-Solingen GmbH is a traditional Solingen company for steel goods, founded in 1865 by Carl Eickhorn. The company specialized early on in edged weapons and became known around 1900 for its military knives and bayonets. After several changes of ownership, the company is still a well-known and proven manufacturer of robust and reliable military knives and has recently expanded its range back to the civilian market, as it did in its early years, where it can draw on its expertise in the production of robust and pragmatic operational knives. The manufacturing takes place in Solingen, making Eickhorn one of the few remaining traditional manufacturers.

Das Eickhorn B2005 CAN ist der Nachfolger des bewährten B2000 CAN, des, unter Anderem, von den Kanadiern eingesetzten Bajonetts. Gefertigt aus Eickhorn Spezial Bajonettstahl, verfügt es über eine hohe Biegetoleranz und Zähigkeit. Die mattschwarze Beschichtung verhindert Lichtreflektionen und erhöht die Korrosionsbeständigkeit und der eingearbeitete Drahtschneider erlaubt die Nutzung als Drahtschere, in Verbindung mit der Scheide. Diese ist aus Polyamid gefertigt und wird mit einer Cordura-Halterung für Molle-Systeme und Gürtel ausgeliefert. Das Bajonett verfügt über eine NATO-kompatible Aufnahme.

Die Firma spezialisierte sich früh auf Blankwaffen und wurde um 1900 für ihre Militärmesser und Bajonette bekannt. Nach mehreren Besitzerwechseln ist die Firma aktuell immer noch ein bekannter und bewährter Hersteller robuster und zuverlässiger militärischer Messer und hat jüngst sein Sortiment, wie in den Anfangsjahren, wieder auf den Zivilmarkt ausgeweitet, wo es auf seine Expertise in der Fertigung robuster und pragmatischer Einsatzmesser zurückgreifen kann. Die Fertigung erfolgt standesgemäß in Solingen, damit ist Eickhorn einer der wenigen verbleibenden Traditionshersteller.
