The Springfield Echelon Compact with Aimpoint COA is a new and innovative pistol featuring an integrated A-CUT interface and pre-mounted red dot sight. Manufactured by the Croatian company HS Produkt, which has a long-standing cooperation with Springfield in the field of handguns, the Echelon offers state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and practical ergonomics with a modular design.
The centerpiece is the combined trigger unit with barrel mount and guide rails in the grip, which can be easily removed. Since this unit represents the "Central Operating Group" according to German firearms law, the grip itself is no longer a significant part. This allows the shooter to legally switch between different grips in various colors and sizes. The unit is made of stainless steel. As standard, the medium grip is always installed. Furthermore, each Echelon is delivered with 3 interchangeable backstraps. This allows the shooter to customize the grip to their preferences. The haptics are optimized for use under all conditions and provide not only the shooting hand with optimal support but also feature texturing at various points on the grip to give all fingers of the shooting and support hand a secure hold.
All controls are ambidextrous. Even the magazine release button does not need to be modified, a real plus for left-handed users. The trigger guard is enlarged and can be operated with gloves. The slide is heavily textured to allow for easy loading. The front and rear of the slide feature integrated steps to ensure a secure grip when manipulating the weapon. The rigid steel sight is designed in height and function for the pre-mounted Aimpoint COA. The cold-forged barrel and slide are Melonite-coated for high corrosion resistance and longevity.
In contrast to the standard model, this variant is delivered with the A-Cut optics interface and comes factory-equipped with an Aimpoint COA.
COA stands for Clever Optics Advancement, and the name truly reflects its purpose: the small optic offers outstanding and highly shock-resistant construction combined with a clean 3.5 MOA dot that can be quickly and securely operated via side buttons. The sight is "hooked" into the slide and secured by the screwed rear sight. The advantage over all sights with screws directly in the body: the structural integrity of the sight is significantly increased, allowing for higher shot loads and avoiding potential weak points from the drill holes. Thus, the sight withstands loads according to MIL-STD-810G, 514.6E-1 Category 24.

Die Springfield Echelon Compact mit Aimpoint COA ist eine neue und innovative Pistole mit integrierter A-CUT Schnittstelle und vormontiertem Leuchtpunktvisier. Gefertigt von der kroatischen Firma HS Produkt, welche mit Springfield eine lange Kooperation im Bereich Kurzwaffen vorweisen kann, bietet die Echelon modernste Fertigungstechniken und praxisorientierte Ergonomie und modularen Design.
Das Herzstück bildet die kombinierte Abzugseinheit mit Laufhalterung und Führungsschienen im Griffstück, die einfach ausgebaut werden kann. Da dieses Einheit nach deutschen WaffG die "Central Operating Group" darstellt, ist das Griffstück selbst kein wesentlichens Teil mehr. So kann der Schütze gesetzeskonform zwischen verschiedenen Griffstücken in verschiedeen Farben und Größen wechseln. Die Einheit ist aus Stainless Steel gefertigt. Als Standard ist immer das mittlere Griffstück verbaut. Des Weiteren wird jede Echelon mit 3 wechselbaren Griffrücken ausgeliefert. So kann der Schütze den Griff nach seinen Wünschen anpassen. Die Haptik selber ist optimiert auf den Einsatz unter allen Bedingungen und bietet nicht nur der Schießhand optimalen Halt, sondern verfügt auch über Texturierungen an verschiedenen Stellen des Griffstücks, um allen Fingern der Schuss- und der Unterstützungshand sicheren Halt zu geben.
Alle Bedienelemente sind beidseitig bedienbar. Selbst der Magazinlöseknopf muss nicht umgebaut werden, ein echtes Plus für Linkshändern. Der Abzugsbügel ist vergrößert und kann mit Handschuhen bedient werden. Der Schlitten ist stark texturiert, um ein einfaches Durchladen zu ermöglichen. Vorne und hinten verfügt der Schlitten über eingearbeitete Stufen, damit die Hand auch wirklich sicher sitzt, wenn die Waffe manipuliert wird. Das starre Stahlvisier ist in Höhe und Funktion auf das vormontierte Aimpoint COA ausgelegt. Der kaltgeschmiedete Lauf und der Schlitten sind Melonite-beschichtet - für eine hohe Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Lebensdauer.
Im Gegensatz zum Standardmodell wird diese Variante mit der A-Cut Optikschnittstelle ausgeliefert und verfügt ab Werk über ein Aimpoint COA.
COA steht für Clever Optics Advancement und der Name ist wirklich Programm: die kleine Optik bietet eine herausragende und höchst schussfeste Verarbeitung kombiniert mit einem sauberen 3,5 MOA Leuchtpunkt, der sich über seitliche Drucktasten schnell und griffsicher bedienen lässt. Das Visier ist in den Schlitten "eingehakt" und durch die verschraubte Kimme gesichert. Vorteil gegenüber allen Visieren mit Schrauben direkt im Korpus: die strukturelle Integrität des Visiers wird deutlich erhöht und damit sind höhere Schussbelastungen machbar und mögliche Schwachstellen durch die Bohrungen werden vermieden. So besteht das Visier Belastungen gemäß MIL-STD-810G, 514.6E-1 Kategorie 24
