The Plate Carrier MK IV from Tasmanian Tiger is an exceptionally lightweight plate carrier with a removable front panel. The entire plate carrier is equipped all around with MOLLE and Velcro-MOLLE systems for variable attachment of accessories and pouches. The size 2 offered in the set corresponds to L/XL and is suitable for SAPI plates from 30 x 25 cm to 34 x 33 cm. This plate carrier features a flexible drop system and is equipped for quick donning with an SR buckle that can be mounted on the right or left.
Both the CORDURA® materials and webbing, Velcro fasteners, and buckles meet the high Bundeswehr standards according to TL - a guarantee of high quality and extreme durability.
The hard ballistic protection plate Berserker is made of Al²O³, aluminum oxide ceramic, the composite material offers a good compromise between cost-effectiveness and stability. The plate has the US protection class NIJ Level IV and features the so-called SAPI cut with a standard size of 10x12" / 25x30cm. To increase impact protection, the plate is surrounded by a thin foam layer. Unlike many other protection plates, PGD's protective effect extends to the edge of the plate, and the thin foam covering adds hardly any bulk, ensuring safety at the highest level.
The entire plate is also enveloped by a completely new "heat-sealed" waterproof cover, which repels water, oil, and other liquids without compromising the ballistic properties.
The PGD Berserker protection plate does not require an additional soft ballistic plate to achieve its full protective effect, so it can be directly inserted into the plate carrier. The SAPI cut design allows free movement of the arms, and due to the simple bending (single curved), the plate adapts somewhat to the body contour.

The American protection class NIJ Level IV is often compared to the German SK4 - ballistically, the main difference is that Level IV is tested against the single shot of a stronger armor-piercing ammunition, .30-06 AP, and the multiple shots (6 hits) of weaker .308 VM, while the SK4 is tested against multiple shots (3 hits) of weaker armor-piercing .308 AP.

Der komplette Plattenträger ist ringsum mit MOLLE und Klett-MOLLE System ausgestattet zur variablen Befestigung von Zubehör und Taschen. Die im Set angebotene Größe 2 entspricht L/XL und eignet sich für SAPI-Platten von 30 x 25 cm bis 34 x 33 cm. Dieser Plattenträger besitzt ein flexibles Abwurfsystem und ist für schnelles Anziehen mit einer SR-Schließe versehen, die rechts oder links montiert werden kann.

Die Hartballistik-Schutzplatte Berserker besteht aus Al²O³, Aluminiumoxidkeramik, der Verbundstoff bietet einen guten Kompromiss aus Wirtschaftlichkeit und Stabilität. Die gesamte Platte wird außerdem von einem völlig neuen „hitzeversiegelten“ wasserfesten Bezug ummantelt, welcher Wasser, Öl und andere Flüssigkeiten abweist, ohne die ballistischen Eigenschaften zu beeinträchtigen.
Die PGD Berserker Schutzplatte benötigt keine zusätzliche Weichballistik-Platte, um Ihre volle Schutzwirkung zu entfalten, kann also direkt in den Plattenträger eingesetzt werden. Das SAPI-Schnittdesign ermöglicht freie Bewegung an den Armen, durch die einfache Biegung (single curved) passt sich die Platte der Körperkontur etwas an.

Die amerikanische Schutzklasse NIJ Level IV wird oft mit der deutschen SK4 verglichen - ballistisch ist der Hauptunterschied, dass die Level IV gegen den Einzelbeschuss einer stärkeren panzerbrechenden Munition, .30-06 AP, und den Mehrfachbeschuss (6 Treffer) schwächerer .308 VM geprüft wird, die SK4 dagegen gegen einen Mehrfachbeschuss (3 Treffer) schwächerer panzerbrechender .308 AP.
