The Colt 1911 Government Plunger Spring Assembly is an OEM replacement part for classic Colt 1911 pistols and most replicas. This part sits in the frame between the slide stop lever/disassembly lever and the safety, ensuring that these important levers do not move on their own. Unfortunately, this part also tends to move on its own when the safety is removed, so it makes sense to have such an "Assembly" as a replacement.

The Plunger Spring Assembly is manufactured to MilSpec and therefore fits nearly all 1911 & 1991 models available on the market.
In 1836, Samuel Colt receives the US patent for the first Colt firearm and builds his first factory. In 1847, Samuel H. Walker collaborates with Colt and the US Army to develop a stronger revolver known as the Walker. In 1867, COLT introduces its first Gatling Gun. In 1873, the Single Action Army Revolver is introduced, securing Colt a contract with the US government. In 1911, the "Model 1911" is officially adopted by the US government as a service weapon. In 1963, Colt receives its first government contract for the M16 rifle.

Der Colt 1911 Government Plunger Spring Assembly ist ein OEM-Ersatzteil für klassische Colt 1911 Pistolen und die meisten Nachbauten. Dieses Teil sitzt im Rahmen zwischen Schlittenfanghebel/Zerlegehebel und Sicherung und sorgt für dafür, dass diese wichtigen Hebel sich nicht selbständig machen.
Leider macht sich dieses Teil aber auch gerne selbstständig, wenn die Sicherung entfernt wird und daher ist es sinnvoll, eine solche "Assembly" als Ersatz zu haben.
