The Aimpoint Duty RDS MR is an optic optimized for police use. The MR features a "Multi Reticle" compared to the standard version - the reticle can now be switched between dot, circle, and combination. It is easy to use, shockproof, has no small parts that can be lost or swallowed, and features elevation and windage adjustments that are made with a TORX key, so that the officer on duty cannot adjust their zeroed optic. But it also brings advantages for civilian users: it has the same technology as the "big" siblings of the Micro series but at a more affordable price.
The adjustment turrets with click adjustment are integrated into the housing, making them absolutely shockproof, and the illumination adjustment is done via push buttons, allowing operation even with cold hands or gloves. It features a 2 MOA dot with a 65 MOA circle, and the shooter can switch the reticles as needed. The special feature is the brightness control of the reticle: at higher levels, only the dot gets brighter, but not the circle - this prevents glare while keeping the entire reticle bright enough for use in the brightest summer conditions. The mounting standard is the same as with the Micro models - however, the RDS sits slightly higher, resulting in a higher optical axis when installed on a Micro mount. The Duty RDS is available with a Picatinny mount at 30 or 39 mm, referring to the height of the optical axis.
Please note:
The Aimpoint Duty RDS has an optical axis approximately 11mm higher than the normal Aimpoint Micro models at the same mounting height! This means that an Aimpoint Micro mount with a 39mm optical axis has an optical axis of about 50mm in conjunction with the Duty RDS - this is especially important when using magnification modules. The mounts supplied with the Duty RDS naturally have the specified height.

Das Aimpoint Duty RDS MR ist eine für den Polizeieinsatz optimierte Optik. Das MR verfügt im Vergleich zur Standardvariante über ein "Multi Reticle" - das Absehen kann jetzt zwischen Zielpunkt, Zielkreis und Kombination umgestellt werden. Es ist einfach zu bedienen, stoßgeschützt, besitzt keine verlierbaren oder verschluckbaren Kleinteile und verfügt über eine Höhen- und Seitenverstellung, welche mit einem TORX-Schlüssel erfolgt, damit der Beamte im Dienst nicht seine eingeschossene Optik verstellen kann. Aber auch für den zivilen Anwender bringt es Vorteile: es verfügt über die Gleiche Technik wie die "großen" Geschwister der Micro Reihe aber zu einem günstigeren Preis.
Die Verstelltürme mit Klickverstellung sind im Gehäuse integriert und damit absolut stoßgeschützt und die Verstellung der Beleuchtung erfolgt über Drucktaster, wodurch eine Bedienung auch mit klammen Händen oder Handschuhen möglich ist. Es verfügt über einen 2 MOA Leuchtpunkt mit 65 MOA Zielkreis und der Schütze kann die Absehen je nach Bedarf umschalten. Das Besondere ist die Helligkeitsregelung des Absehens: auf den höheren Stufen wird nur noch der Punkt heller, aber nicht der Zielkreis - so wird ein überstrahlen verhindert aber das gesamte Absehen ist immer noch hell genug für den Einsatz unter hellsten, sommerlichen Bedingungen. Der Montagestandard ist der Gleiche wie bei den Micro Modellen - allerdings sitzt das RDS etwas höher, wodurch die optische Achse bei Installation auf einer Micro-Montage höher ausfällt. Das Duty RDS ist mit einer Picatinnymontage 30 oder 39 mm erhältlich, es handelt sich dabei um die Höhe der optischen Achse.
Bitte beachten:
Das Aimpoint Duty RDS hat bei gleicher Montagehöhe eine optische Achse ca. 11mm höher als die normalen Aimpoint Micro Modelle!
Das heißt eine Aimpoint Micro Montage mit 39mm optischer Achse hat in Verbindung mit dem Duty RDS ca. 50mm optische Achse - dies ist vor allem bei der Verwendung mit Vergrößerungsmodulen zu beachten.
Die mit dem Duty RDS ausgelieferten Montagen haben natürlich die angegeben Höhe.
