The Heckler & Koch HKey handguard for HK243 is a modern, modular aluminum handguard. The HKey modular system at 3 & 9 o'clock allows for the mounting of accessories such as sling swivel mounts, while a Picatinny rail (NAR) is located at 6 & 12 o'clock. Made from high-strength aluminum, this handguard is stable and lightweight. An advantage over the classic handguards of the HK243/G36 is the reinforced attachment. This provides better support for the handguard on the housing and simultaneously stiffens the front mount of the optics, making the entire weapon more precise and repeatable - a definitely sensible addition! This handguard is standard on the HK243 S-TAR variant and can also be mounted on the G36.
Please note:
Heckler & Koch currently uses the NAR, the NATO Accessory Rail, which is a modified version of the well-known Picatinny rail with improved repeatability and tolerance. For the user, the NAR is fully compatible with Picatinny.

Der Heckler & Koch HKey Handschutz für HK243 ist ein moderner, modularer Aluminiumhandschutz. Das HKey Modularsystem auf 3 & 9 Uhr erlaubt die Montage von Zubehör wie Riemenbügelhaltern, auf 6 & 12 Uhr befindet sich eine Picatinnyschiene (NAR). Gefertigt aus hochfesten Aluminium ist dieser Handschutz stabil und leicht. Ein Vorteil gegenüber den klassischen Handschützen des HK243/G36 ist die verstärkte Befestigung. Dadruch wird der Handschutz am Gehäuse besser abgestützt und gleichzeitig auch die vordere Aufnahme der Optikmontage versteift, wodurch die ganze Waffe präziser und wiederholgenauer wird - eine definitiv sinnvolle Ergänzung! Dieser Handschutz ist Standard bei der HK243 S-TAR Variante und kann auch am G36 montiert werden.
