The Hornady A-TIP bullets of the A-MAX series are the result of years of research and development by the in-house Hornady Ballistic Development Group. Designed as a precision bullet for long-range shooting, the A-TIP offers extremely low air resistance, a very good ballistic coefficient, and a rearward-shifted center of gravity that increases flight stability. The bullet is characterized by its precision-turned and particularly long aluminum tip. This is responsible for the shifted center of gravity but also features a special design (DVRT - Drag Variability Reduction Technology) that provides a certain stabilization and equalization of the flow resistance - resulting in lower deviations from bullet to bullet and thus consistent and repeatable shot groups even at long distances.

But not only is the design outstanding, but also the logistics - the bullets are packed directly from the production line one after the other - meaning all bullets in the delivered package are manufactured within seconds of each other, minimizing deviations due to tool wear, thermal changes, or fluctuating raw materials, ensuring maximum uniformity among the projectiles. Therefore, the bullets are also not washed, as this would disrupt the sequence.
Please note:
A special loading die is required for loading the A-TIP bullets due to the long tip and very flat ogive! Attention must be paid to the correct overall length of the cartridge.

The Hornady Manufacturing Company was founded in 1949 by Joyce Hornady and, in addition to the original automotive body construction, also began developing bullets for reloaders. The latter division was initially ridiculed by many, but according to the first company slogan "Accurate, Deadly, Dependable," hunting enthusiasts were quickly impressed by the excellent quality, and the steadily growing success has continued to this day. The family business offers an incredibly wide range of almost all common calibers and ammunition variants for hunting, sport shooting, or the military. Hornady ammunition is absolutely precise, repeatable with perfect ballistics. When it comes to premium ammunition, Hornady is hard to overlook today.

Die Hornady A-TIP Geschosse der A-MAX Serie sind das Ergebnis einer jahrelangen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsarbeit der hauseigenen Hornady Ballistic Development Group. Ausgelegt als Präzisionsgeschoss für Long-Range bietet das A-TIP einen äußerst geringen Luftwiderstand, sehr guten ballistischen Koeffizienten und einen nach hinten verlagerten Schwerpunkt, der die Flugstabilität erhöht. Das Geschoss zeichnet sich durch seine präzisionsgedrehte und besonders lange Aluminiumspitze aus. Diese ist für den verlagerten Schwerpunkt veantwortlich aber weist auch ein besonderes Design (DVRT - Drag Variability Reduction Technology) auf, welches für eine gewisse Stabilisierung und ein angleichen des Strömungswiderstandes sorgt - für geringere Abweichungen von Geschoss zu Geschoss und damit gleichbleibende und wiederholgenaue Schussgruppen auch auf große Entfernungen.

Aber nicht nur das Desing ist herausragend, sondern auch die Logistik - die Geschosse werden direkt von der Fertigunsstraße Eines nach dem Anderen verpackt - das heißt, alle Geschosse in der gelieferten Packung sind innerhalb von Sekunden nacheinander gefertigt, Abweichungen durch Werkzeugabnutzung, thermische Veränderungen oder schwankendes Ausgangsmaterial werden so minimiert, für größtmögliche Gleichheit unter den Projektilen. Deswegen sind die Geschosse auch nicht gewaschen, weil dies die Reihenfolge stören würde.
Bitte beachten:
Zum verladen der A-TIP Geschosse ist aufgrund der langen Spitze und sehr flachen Ogive ein spezieller Ladestempel nötig! Auf die korrekte Gesamtlänge der Patrone ist zu achten.

Letztere Sparte wurde anfangs von vielen belächelt, aber gemäß dem ersten Firmenslogan "Genau, tödlich, zuverlässig" waren vor allem Jagdenthusiasten schnell von der hervorragenden Qualität begeistert, und der seither stetig wachsende Erfolg hält bis heute an.
