Colt Python 6 inch revolver. Cabinet weapon from collection! Legendary sports shooter and collector's rarity manufactured around 1971. Barrel profile mirror bright, grooves and lands sharp-edged. Whether as the crowning piece of a revolver collection or a precision revolver for the sports shooter, the Colt Python is considered one of the finest in firearm manufacturing today. Especially the extraordinary craftsmanship of the early 60s and 70s, with its finely detailed processing, showcases the entire artisanal skill and dedication of the Colt technicians. Well-maintained revolvers from collections are very rare and fetch top prices at auctions today. The revolvers of the Colt Python model series were manufactured with particular care and high processing effort. The fine finish with the deep black shimmering bluing, the famous "Colt blue," and the fine high-gloss polish is legendary and is among the finest in revolver construction. The precise, high-quality workmanship is the basis for precision and is evident even in the smallest details. Especially in the non-existent cylinder play during the shot break and the fine trigger characteristics ("butter-smooth" double action trigger and crisp single action trigger). The 6-inch match barrel with ventilated rib has the top of the frame bridge and barrel rib matte to avoid disturbing reflections. Match sights with finely adjustable rear sight for elevation and windage and inserted double pinned front sight. With side-swinging cylinder for 6 cartridges, large side cylinder release, central cartridge ejector, lined trigger, and hammer spur with large checkering. Original Colt wooden grips made of American walnut, both sides featuring the famous trademark, the gold-plated "Rampant Colt." For a stable, secure, and comfortable grip, both grip panels are extensively checkered with fine fish scale. Collector's weapon practically not fired but due to improper storage over the years has fine rust spots on the bluing at the top of the frame bridge and on the polishing of the hammer. Otherwise, minor signs of use and, as is typical for Colt, a fine mark on the cylinder from the cylinder stop. Caliber: .357Mag. (.38Special). Proof: Munich 1971. Barrel length: 6" (15.2 cm). Colt Python 6 Zoll Revolver. Schrankwaffe aus Sammlung! Legendäre Sportschützen- und Sammlerrarität gefertigt um 1971. Laufprofil spiegelblank, Züge und Felder scharfkantig. Ob als Krönung einer Revolversammlung oder Präzisionsrevolver für den Sportschützen der Colt Python zählt heute zum Feinsten im Waffenbau. Besonders die außergewöhnliche Fertigung der frühen 60er und 70er Jahre mit der bis in Detail feinen Verarbeitung zeigt das ganze handwerkliche Können und den Einsatz der Colt Techniker. Gepflegte Revolver aus Sammlungen sind sehr selten und erzielen heute Spitzenpreise bei Auktionen. Die Revolver der Modellreihe Colt Python wurden werksseitig besonders sorgfältig und mit hohem Bearbeitungsaufwand gefertigt. Das feine Finish mit der tiefschwarz schimmernden Brünierung, dem berühmten "Colt blue" und der feinen Hochglanzpolitur ist legendär und gehört zum Feinsten überhaupt im Revolverbau. Die passgenaue, hochwertige Verarbeitung ist Basis für die Präzision und zeigt sich auch in kleinsten Details. Besonders im nicht vorhandenen Trommelspiel während der Schuss bricht und der feinen Abzugscharakteristik ("butterweicher" Double Actionabzug und trockener Single Action Abzug). Beim 6-Zoll Matchlauf mit ventilierter Schiene ist die Oberseite von Rahmenbrücke und Laufschiene mattiert um störende Spiegelungen zu vermeiden. Matchvisierung mit in Höhe und Seite fein einstellbarer Kimme und eingesetzten doppeltverstifteten Korn. Mit seitlich ausschwenkbarer Trommel für 6-Patronen, seitlichen großen Trommelschieber, zentralen Patronenausstoßer, linierten Abzug und Hahnsporn mit großer Fischhaut. Original Colt Holzgriffschalen aus amerikanischen Walnuss beidseitig mit dem berühmten Markenzeichen dem vergoldeten "Rampant Colt". Für eine stabile, sichere und angenehme Griffhaltung sind beide Griffschalen großflächig mit feiner Fischhaut verschnitten. Sammlerwaffe praktisch nicht geschossen aber durch falsche Lagerung über die Jahre feine Flugrostfleckchen an der Brünierung oben an der Rahmenbrücke und an der Polierung am Hahn. Sonst geringe Gebrauchsspuren und wie bei Colt üblich feine Spur an der Trommel vom Trommelstop. Kaliber: .357Mag. (.38Spezial). Beschuss: München 1971. Lauflänge: 6" (15,2 cm).
