The ASE-90 was built for the Olympic Games in 1990 and was mostly handcrafted, considered a premium line like the SO series from Beretta. The production costs were too high for Beretta, which is why the company built the ASE Gold with a higher machine share in manufacturing.
To further reduce costs, the ASE Gold was then replaced by the DT10. The standard DT10 was no longer produced in Factory 2 (handmade). Meanwhile, the DT10 has been replaced by the DT11, and an even larger part of it is manufactured using CNC machining. It has a wider mechanism but uses the same trigger group as the DT10. As far as is known, the ASEs/DT are interchangeable, but the barrels and triggers are not compatible with the DT line.

Die ASE-90 wurde für die Olympischen Spiele 1990 gebaut und größtenteils von Hand gefertigt und gilt als Premiumlinie wie die SO-Serie von Beretta. Die Produktionskosten waren für Beretta zu hoch, deshalb baute das Unternehmen die ASE Gold mit mehr Maschinen Anteil in der Fertigung.
Um die Kosten weiter zu senken, wurde die ASE-Gold dann durch die DT10 ersetzt. Die Standard-DT10 wurde nicht mehr in der Fabrik 2 (Handfertigungen) hergestellt. Mittlerweile wurde die DT10 durch die DT11 ersetzt und ein noch größerer Teil davon wird mittels CNC-Bearbeitung hergestellt. Es hat einen breiteren Mechanismus, verwendet aber dieselbe Abzugsgruppe wie das DT10. Soweit bekannt ist, sind die ASEs/ DT austauschbar, aber die Läufe und Abzüge sind nicht mit der DT-Linie kompatibel.
