The Ruger Precision Rifle Generation 4 is a top-class bolt-action rifle with excellent shooting performance. Clearly inspired by the AR15 design, the weapon not only utilizes the design language but also some parts of the widely used platform. In terms of styling and construction, Ruger has leaned towards the AR design. This version is delivered with a Cerakote coating in "Smoked Bronze," deviating from the standard.

The "RPR" was introduced in 2015 and embarked on a victorious journey in the shooting scene - it set the benchmark and inspired many imitators and remains a price/performance winner even after over 10 years. In the current 4th generation, the handguard has primarily been revised - it now features M-LOK interfaces as well as an ARCA Swiss or RRS rail - and perhaps most importantly: The buttstock has finally been replaced with a completely new model. Like the old version, the buttstock is fully adjustable in several dimensions and can be adjusted without tools. However, the locking and guiding of the individual elements have been significantly improved and function more reliably and user-friendly. The stock length, cheek rest height and position, and the height of the butt pad can be adjusted.

The stock itself is attached to an AR15 Mil-Spec interface and is designed as a folding stock - for a compact transport size. Also compatible with AR15 is the grip, which has been replaced in the Gen4 by a steeper model from Magpul. The magazine well is compatible with single-stack AICS polymer magazines and double-stack AR10 magazines (a Magpul PMAG is included) - thus the weapon can be fed with a variety of options.

An adjustable trigger, the Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger, offers an adjustment range of approximately 1 to 2.3 kg and can be adjusted from the outside. The appropriate key is housed in the closure sleeve and is therefore always at hand. A pre-installed Picatinny rail with 20 MOA inclination as well as an efficient muzzle brake on the 5/8"x24 barrel thread complete the overall package.

Das Ruger Precision Rifle Generation 4 ist eine erstklassige Repetierbüchse mit hervorragender Schussleistung. Klar angelehnt an das AR15 Design nutzt die Waffe nicht nur die Formensprache sondern auch einige teile der weit verbreiteten Plattform. Vom Styling und der Bauweise her hat sich Ruger an das AR-Design angelehnt. Diese Ausführung wird abweichend vom Standard mit einer Cerakote Beschichtung in "Smoked Bronze" ausgeliefert.

Das "RPR" wurde 2015 vorgestellt und trat einen Siegeszug in der Schützenszene an - es setzte den Benchmark und animierte viele Nachahmer und ist nach über 10 Jahren immernoch ein Preis-/Leistungs Sieger . In der aktuellen 4. Generation wurden primär der Handschutz überarbeitet - er verfügt jetzt neben M-LOK Schnittstellen auch über eine ARCA Swiss bzw. RRS Schiene - und wohl am wichtigsten: Der Hinterschaft wurde endlich gegen ein komplett neues Modell getauscht. Wie auch die alte Ausführung ist der Hinterschaft in mehreren Eebenen voll einstellbar und kann werkzeugfrei verstellt werden. Aber die Arretierung und Führung der einzelnen Elemente wurde deutlich verbessert und funktioniert zuverlässiger und anwendungsfreundlicher. Es können die Schaftlänge, Wangenauflage in Höhe und Position und die Höhe der Schaftkappe eingestellt werden.

Der Schaft selber ist an einer AR15 Mil-Spec Aufnahme befestigt und als Klappschaft ausgeführt. - für ein kompaktes Transportmaß. Ebenfalls AR15 kompatibel ist der Griff, welcher bei der Gen4 durch ein steileres Modell von Magpul ersetzt wurde. Der Magazinschacht ist kompatibel mit einreihigen AICS-Polymermagazinen und dopeelreihigen AR10 Magazinen (ein Magpul PMAG liegt bei) - somit kann die Waffe mit einr Vielzahl von Optionen gefüttert werden.

Ein einstellbarer Abzug, der Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger, bietet einen Verstellbereich von ca. 1 bis 2,3kg und kann von außen verstellt werden. Der passende Schlüssel ist in der Verschlusshülse untergebracht und somit immer zur Hand. Eine vorinstallierte Picatinnyschiene mit 20 MOA Vorneigung sowie eine effiziente Mündungsbremse auf dem 5/8"x24 Laufgewinde runden das Gesamtpaket ab.
