The trigger was renewed in 2025 and the weapon was checked by a specialist workshop. Holes in the housing are for the attachment of accessories or scope saddle mounts. The Benelli M3 has a 7-round magazine (+ one round in the chamber) and uses the semi-automatic Benelli system first shown in the Benelli M1. The Benelli M3 allows for both semi-automatic use as well as manual loading as a pump-action shotgun. It is known as a reliable weapon with a wide range of applications and is used by both police forces and sport shooters. When using weaker ammunition with low recoil, such as rubber projectiles, the M3 is manually cycled. With standard shotgun ammunition, the M3 can be switched to semi-automatic mode. The main difference from the predecessor weapon Benelli M1 is the switch between manual and semi-automatic use. The successor version Benelli M4 is used by the US Marines. Der Abzug wurde 2025 erneuert und die Waffe von Fachwerkstatt überprüft. Bohrungen am Gehäuse dienen zur Aufnahme von Zubehör bzw. Zielfernrohr-Sattel-montagen.Das Benelli M3 hat ein 7-schüssiges Magazin (+ eine Patrone im Lauf) und verwendet das zuerst im Benelli M1 gezeigte halbautomatische Benelli System. Das Benelli M3 erlaubt sowohl die Benutzung als halbautomatische Waffe als auch manuelle Ladetätigkeit als Vorderschaftrepetierer. Es ist als zuverlässige Waffe mit breitem Anwendungsspektrum bekannt und wird sowohl von Polizeikräften als auch Sportschützen verwendet. Bei der Verwendung schwächerer Munition mit geringem Rückstoß wie etwa Gummigeschossen, wird das M3 manuell durchgeladen. Mit normaler Schrotmunition kann das M3 in den Halbautomatik-Modus umgeschaltet werden. Der wesentliche Unterschied zu der Vorgängerwaffe Benelli M1 ist der Wechsel zwischen manueller und halbautomatischer Verwendung.
