The IGB swap system is made of steel and delivers the best results with affordable fun. It provides a handling and shooting experience that is very close to the large caliber version. All steel parts are nitrided. The internal components such as firing pin, extractor, etc. are OEM parts and easily replaceable.
The barrel is made from special and proven IGB barrel steel. The blank is produced, processed, and then plasma nitrided in-house. The barrel features a 1/2 x 28 UNEF thread for a variety of accessories with the Pro-Sport or Heavy-Duty upgrade option. A plastic thread protector is included.
The use of quality ammunition for semi-automatic systems is recommended. Extremely powerful ammunition such as Stinger, MaxiMag, or other hypervelocity cartridges is not necessary and also not recommended. Tested so far are: Remington HV22, Eley Tenex, RWS Rifle Match, RWS R100, RWS LR Solid, Federal Classic, Fiocchi Maxac, CCI Green Tag, CCI Standard Velocity, CCI Minimag, Lapua Trainer, S&B Club, and GECO .22lr Semi-Auto.

Das IGB Wechselsystem ist aus Stahl gefertigt und liefert beste Ergebnisse bei günstigem Spaß. Es ergibt, in Handhabung und Schussverhalten, ein Gefühl das der Grosskaliberversion sehr nahe kommt. Sämtliche Stahlteie sind nitriert. Die Innenteile wie Schlagbolzen, Auszieher usw. sind OEM Teile und leicht austauschbar.
Der Lauf ist aus speziellem und bewährtem IGB Laufstahl gefertigt. Der Rohling wird in deren Haus erzeugt, verarbeitet und anschliessend plasmanitriert. Der Lauf verfügt bei der Pro-Sport oder Heavy-Duty Upgradeoption, über ein 1/2 x 28 UNEF Gewinde um eine Vielzahl von Zubehör verwenden zu können. Ein Gewindeschutz aus Kunststoff wird mitgeliefert.
Die Verwendung Qualitäts Munition für Selbstladesysteme wird empfohlen. Extrem starke munition wie Stinger, MaxiMag oder anderen Hypervelocity Patronen ist nicht notwendig und auch nicht empfohlen.
