Dragonfly Wakizashi Nowadays, one mostly finds interpretations of the ancient originals from feudal Japan in trade, which were designed for fighters of smaller stature (rarely taller than 1.70 m). As artfully crafted as they may be, these Japanese swords are not optimally suited for the modern warrior, who is significantly larger and stronger than their historical counterpart! To address this imbalance, Cold Steel® has launched the Dragonfly series, a collection of Japanese swords equipped with thicker, wider, and heavier blades. The handles of these beautiful swords feature a black ray skin inlay (Samé) and a striking aquamarine silk cord wrap. The tsuba and end cap made of black metal are adorned with a dragonfly motif. The strongly curved, hand-polished blades made of 1060 carbon steel end in a long, iris leaf-shaped tip for maximum cutting performance. Two protective covers - a blue cotton transport bag and a richly decorated decorative storage bag made of the finest, sturdy silk brocade - are included with each sword. Dragonfly Wakizashi Im Handel findet man heutzutage meist nur Interpretationen der altertümlichen Originale aus dem feudalen Japan, die für Kämpfer von kleinerer Statur (selten großer als 1,70 m) konzipiert waren. So kunstvoll gestaltet sie auch sein mögen, diese japanischen Schwerter sind für den modernen Krieger, der wesentlich großer und kräftiger als sein historisches Pendant ist, nicht optimal geeignet! Um dieses Missverhältnis auszugleichen, hat Cold Steel® die Dragonfly-Serie ins Leben gerufen, eine Kollektion von japanischen Schwertern, die mit dickeren, breiteren und schwereren Klingen ausgestattet sind. Die Griffe dieser wunderschönen Schwerter verfügen über eine schwarze Rochenhauteinlage (Samé) und eine auffällige aquamarinfarbene Wicklung aus Seidenschnur. Das Stichblatt und die Endkappe aus schwarzem Metall sind mit einem Libellenmotiv verziert. Die stark gebogenen, von Hand polierten Klingen aus 1060er Karbonstahl enden in einer langen irisblattförmigen Spitze für maximale Schnittleistung. Zwei Schutzhüllen - eine blaue Transporttasche aus Baumwolle und eine reich verzierte dekorative Aufbewahrungstasche aus feinstem, kräftigem Seidenbrokat - sind bei jedem Schwert im Lieferumfang enthalten.
