The Roman Centurion officer's helmet, also known as "galea," was an important part of the armor of a centurion, an officer in the Roman army. These helmets were not only functional but also a symbol of the rank and authority of the wearer.

Der römische Centurio-Offiziershelm, auch als "galea" bekannt, war ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Rüstung eines Centurios, einem Offizier in der römischen Armee. Diese Helme waren nicht nur funktional, sondern auch ein Symbol für den Rang und die Autorität des Trägers.

Der Helm hatte oft eine charakteristische Form mit einem breiten Schild (Visier) zum Schutz des Gesichts und einer hohen Krempe, die den Nacken schützte.
