A selector plate regulates the switching between semi-automatic and sometimes it also controls the safety. In V3 gearboxes, the selector plate is required to be able to shoot fully automatically at all, which is why it is simply missing in many S-AEGs. In other models, the selector plate is usually trimmed to prevent switching to full auto.

The installation of an untrimmed selector plate in a system with more than 0.5 Joules of power (S-AEG) is not legal in DE. The possession of such a plate is of course fine, and installing it in a 0.5 is self-evident as well. (Show description in original language)

Eine Selectorplate regelt das Umschalten zwischen Semi-Vollautomatisch und manchmal steuert sie auch die Sicherung an. Bei V3 Gearboxen wir die Selectorplate benötigt um überhaupt vollautomatisch schießen zu können, weshalb sie bei vielen S-AEG´s einfach fehlt. Bei anderen Modellen wird die Selectorplate meist beschnitten um ein Umschalten auf Vollauto zu verhindern.

Der Einbau einer unbeschnittenen Selectorplate in ein System mit mehr als 0,5 Joule Leistung (S-AEG) ist in DE nicht legal. Der Besitz einer solchen Plate ist natürlich in Ordnung und das Einbauen in einer 0,5er selbstredend auch.
