SpecnaArms Steel Shim Set:
Shims are used to ensure that the gears in a gearbox can run smoothly and do not grind against each other or the gearbox shell.
- 10 x 3 x 0.1 mm
- 10 x 3 x 0.3 mm
- 10 x 3 x 0.5 mm
Quick Guide:
- Clean and degrease the gearbox shell.
- Insert the middle gear and add shims to the lower gear shaft until it runs absolutely smoothly. It should still spin for a while and make no grinding noises.
- Align the other two gears with the shims so that as few shims as possible are at the bottom, but there must always be a gap between the gears. The gears should only mesh with the teeth and not touch otherwise.
- Place the upper gearbox shell on, tighten two to three screws, and check if the gears still have a lot of play.
- Remove the upper half again and place shims on top of the gears until the play is as minimal as possible, but the gears are not pinched. Place the upper half on multiple times for verification.
- After reassembly, readjust the motor play with the motor adjustment screw.

Shimms werden verwendet, damit die Zahnräder in einer Gearbox sauber laufen können und nicht aufeinander oder auf der Gearboxshell schleifen.
- 10 x 3 x 0,1 mm
- 10 x 3 x 0,3 mm
- 10 x 3 x 0,5 mm
Kurzanleitung:
- Gearboxshell reinigen und entfetten.
- Das mittlere Gear einsetzen und so lange Shimms auf die untere Zahnradachse geben, bis dieses absolut glatt läuft. Es sollte noch eine Weile nachdrehen und keine Schleifgeräusche machen.
- Die beiden anderen Gears mit den Shimms so ausrichten, dass möglichst wenige Shimms unten liegen, aber unbedingt immer ein Spalt zwischen den Gears besteht. Die Gears sollen nur mit den Zähnen ineinandergreifen und sich sonst nicht berühren.
- Die obere Gearboxshell auflegen, zwei bis drei Schrauben anziehen und überprüfen ob Zahnräder noch viel Spielraum haben.
- Obere Hälfte wieder abnehmen und Shimms oben auf die Gears legen bis der Spielraum so gering wie möglich ist, aber die Zahnräder nicht geklemmt werden. Dabei mehrfach die obere Hälfte zur Überprüfung auflegen.
- Nach dem Zusammenbau das Motorspiel mit der Motorstellschraube neu einstellen.
